I've probably posted it myself, it came up on Facebook memories from 14 years ago. Good jaysus it's bad.

Musically Azazel is great. One of the most underrated bands to come out of Finland.

Never knew Ministry produced an Antifa propaganda video until this abomination appeared on my feed. Uncle Al sports a daft balaclava and slogans like 'Antifa is the shit' flash on the screen while you die inside.

Funny you post that when my copy of The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste LP arrived today. I'll take the nihilism and pass on the politics

Al and the lads have always being anti fascist going back to the wax trax days , just less opiates nowadays.

The the recent run of records do have a fair bit of cringe on them.

Ah yeah, I know that. But I think with the early stuff the themes are more general and bleak rather than totally explicit like that.

I'm pretty sure I've moaned about them on here before but I don't know how people actually take that Smoulder band seriously with that singer, absolute shite. Comically bad live vocals and cringey as fuck meth tweaker stage presence too.

This is what happens when you overdo it on the drugs and you are also desperate to stay relevant because nobody gives a shit about your new material.

Any artist directly responding to any kind of zeitgeist plays a dangerous game. Your songs would want to be bulletproof to not either become immediately farcical, or to have any kind of relevance five minutes down the line. Particularly in the internet era where history continues to accelerate on a weekly basis.
