Have never really kept up with them (mainly because nothing's coming close to In The Eyes of God), heard a few bits of this and it sounded kinda... grunge-y? Much less feral than some of the older gear.

Might give it a proper go tomorrow.

Yeah, can't get into this at all, but I appreciate the fact hes still evolving..this feels like his attempt at something influence by psych/folk rock from the 60s and 70s. Very mellow. I don't think he has the voice to carry it though.

I think that his deranged vocals make it interesting. He sounds insane.


I'd lean toward what Grimey said. In some ways maybe it's age appropriate for Austin but not all of it is sitting with me. It is interesting in parts and and definitely glad he's still making music but overall not for me.
