Missed this upon release but got into it recently and am well impressed. Recommended for anyone who's into the filthier DM.

Any of you fine folk have any suggestions for manky stuff along the same lines?

Definitely in the minority but I didn't like this at all, really tired of this modern take on "blackened"death metal.  In terms of similar stuff that Noctambulist track I mentioned in the "upcoming releases" thread might float your boat, maybe the Suffering Hour album from last year. Abyssal from the UK maybe? I reckon our own Malthusian are the best of the wonky/dissonant bunch.

Ye that suffering hour record is the business, guitar playing is just mouth watering. Gave the Abyssal album with the blue cover a go a while back, had its moments but if memory serves me correctly there was some very jarring timing errors on one of the tracks that put me off the record as a whole. Not the good kind of timing wonkiness, it sounded like an error to these ears. Love some of the malthusian stuff alright, I've yet to do the suss on the most recent one though.
Sweet imma check out Noctambulist, cheers man.

Only thing I know of that is very close to it is Ruins of Beverast's last few releases. Yer man behind Tchornobog has a few other projects that are more "filthy". I'd describe this stuff as more evil, or evil cosmic, or whatever mad psychedelic description he wrote for it himself.

Yeah that Noctambulist track is juicy,  like a more visceral Gorguts or something.
Could never get into Ruins, found the albums to be very inconsistent. Moments of genius littered amongst some very filler-y death/doom bits that did nothing for me. Admittedly I've not listened to any of his stuff in a number of years so maybe the more recent output will do it for me.
