Yep whole band for sure, hard to believe Eaten and Tomb are from the same band.

I think they've been AI generating their records Post Bloodthirst

yeq, I'd say the last four albums have been clones with poor artwork. The production and delivery is near identical on them. Up to kill I think the albums sound different tone wise at least.

Had a listen to a bit of the podcast, quite ironic he seems a lot more mellow and less argumentative now that he's given up weed

Seen a comment on youtube which gave me a chuckle:

Vocalist Chris Barnes left during the production of this album, due to a difference of opinion about how much material to include. The rest of the band wanted to release a full-length album, but Barnes only wanted to release an EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE P

I watched that interview with him over the weekend. I thought he came across very well, seems like a good dude

That EP comment is gold!

Nice one for posting up the interview. I'm really enjoying it, delving in and out of it as I get the time. The dude really wears his heart on his sleeve, but the poor guy with both parents dying just before going out on tour, while his dog died last year and drove him to continuous rehearsals rather than his old vices. His early run-in's with Corpse members before they formed is interesting! :abbath:

Chris's joy in hearing how his music helped people is true to life. A buddy of ours was going through a very rough time with chemo with suspect long term prospects, and he got such a lift from a message from Chris. He's in touch with him a bit since and said Chris was "genuinely buzzing" when he told him he got the all clear. One of the good guys  :D

I'm just coming up to the Corpsegrinder part... which has me thinking of how he ruined CC shows for me. CC life sure got boring with Corpsegrinder involved in shows, repetitive as hell. He's literally a muscle head, someone you'd have no time for in real life. Check out this smarmy cunt saying the early CC songs are now his, saying there won't be a reunion tour even though that's not what he was asked https://youtube.com/shorts/twST5_3xmnA?feature=shared

Another SFU cover album not heard of before - https://youtu.be/T0sgrfs_E9Y?feature=shared The comments from some are gold where they think it's genuine

Corpsegrinder seems sound. He's forever delivering stuffed toys to a children's hospital or charity in his hometown. Just seems like a gamer dork to me.

I'm open to correction then!  His barbs at CB and claiming ownership of songs he covers do him a disservice then as he comes across as an entitled pleb. He still annoys me live though, not that I'd be saying that to his face like...

Anyway back on topic, I haven't listened to SFU in years. I must rectify that, but I guess there's nothing to get too excited about in recent years?

Nothing in recent times no. Unborn and Undead had a few tracks between them and there was one other record which the name of escapes me was an out and out banger, even got a glowing review on Metal Ireland at the time. But the last two in particular are god awful
