Watched the first two eps last night. Not great. Also, lots of it looks fairly crappy too, that smoothed around the edges and soft-lit look... has me suspecting they're relying more than ever on genAI for lots of landscape, cityscape, and seascape stuff. And if it's saving them money, they certainly don't seem to have directed any of those savings into the writing.

I thought the first episode was a banger! I really enjoyed the season. Probably my favourite so far. First season had pacing issues, second was a bit lacking in action and I think this third one just performed better overall. Having said that, it's been 2 year gaps in between, and I haven't revisited any episodes since I've first seen them.

Lots of sneakery and deception, looking forward to the final season.

Found this season very mediocre over all. May or may not continue.

Not a brilliant season but it had a few moments. Next season is the last one anyway.

The battles were a good step up, but overall the show is a bit of a chore.
Yer wan, Rhaenyra, is a dose to watch. Far too Shakespeare.
And that spooky shit in that Harrenhal place can fuck off and needs to be done with.

I thought her performance was good actually, let down by the fact that the dialogue she (and everyone else) was given was crap. A lot of the performances are dire though, notably yer man who plays Corlys and yer wan who plays the Whisperer. Daemon's big fight with Ormund's right-hand man a total non-event due to yer man having literally zero depth as a character. Compare to, say, the Mountain. Yeah, I think mediocre is the best it can be called.

The aerial views of the armies in the finale looked cheap as hell too.

If it's only one season left, I might stick it through. Thought it was two though.
