A very cool album. The only thing they did which resembles this album is the version of Dusk And Her Embrace they released a couple of years ago and tbh I much prefer that version of it than the one they released back in the day.
This is my favourite song from Principle.

Probably the only COF Id listen to these days as it was ahead of its time, didnt really fancy the other stuff they released that much.
Few tracks off Vempire and Dusk here and there.

Stick it on every year or two. Holds up not too bad. Yeah, Of Mist And Midnight is a great tune. There's heaps of brilliant stuff on it. And on Dusk too. With only a few hammy moments here and there. I think the aesthetic was great around then. That cover sleeve is classic. When they went down the Clive Barker route it was a big mistake. Crazy to think its that old. I remember picking it up second hand in a shop in the George Street arcade (at least that's what I think it is/was called) around 20 years ago. And at that stage it was an old old album!!!

This was the 1st cd I got.

I wish I could say that. It is an amazing album and a historical record of the time.

Was the third Cradle album I bought after Vempire and Dusk. It initially took quite some time to get used to the rawer sound of their debut after their more polished subsequent releases. The title track, the Black Goddess Rises and To Eve the Art of Witchcraft are among their greatest tracks penned and from what I can recall the crowd lapped them up with gusto at their May 1998 Dublin gig. Unreal to think Cradle have been on the go that long.

I'd throw me purple headed womb ferret into yer one on the right...

I think that's danis wife on the left.

The version of dusk they released a few years ago is pretty cool as well. It sounds pretty much like principle and his vocals are much better than on the version they released back in the day.

There's been some amount of lineup changes in the band over the years.
