Not surprised to see another non metal album by BEHERIT at this point, but I am not really getting the buzz out of this of yet. Although I do enjoy stuff like that - such as the two DomJord albums released this year- , this new BEHERIT sounds like something that in 50 years time would feature in a video of David Atenborough's decomposing head repeating "I told you" for 2 and a half hours...weird and all but not enough to hold anyone's attention. He should at least have kept his signature vocals.

I managed ten minutes of it and it was uninteresting to me. Pity this is going to be the last Beherit album. Engram was pretty cool but this kind of farty ambient stuff sounds like it was thrown together in an evening.

I concur with Mclove, except what he describes as "uninteresting" I would describe as ultra-shite.

Engram is  mediocre at best. This is just silly. Theres an entire world of genuinely creepy instrumental/electronic/experimental music out there, why bother with this instead of doing some exploring?

I don't think Engram is as amazing as a lot of people make out but it's definitely better than mediocre. DDTM is my go-to Beherit and it will stay that way it seems. I have listened to the electronic albums and they sound decent enough but I'm not sure that if I bought them I'd end up listening to them much.

Engram was decent enough when it came out, but it's grown on me with the years. I was hoping a new album would be anything similar to the "Demon Advance" EP if it ever came about...too bad.

I never picked that one up as it was so overpriced. I must give it a listen. Is it a reworking of the song from the album?

It has one metal song with some weird stuff afterwards on one track and plain weird stuff on the other, but at least it sounds like BEHERIT. I am not sure there are many physical copies of that though...it had zero promotion.

Was all set to pull the trigger on this and then heard that it was more electronic ambient stuff.

Hated engram when it came out but it has definitely grown on me ,demon advance in particular is great.

Might still grab the cd as I like electric doom synthesis .
