Hyped for this. The two singles so far are beauts. Also interested to hear Gilad Hekselman's guest spot (he's a jazz guitarist). Luc Lemay is confirmed to have a guest vocal spot too.

He's unreal. Probably my favourite player these last two decades. Has serious chops, but also tasteful as fuck.

There's a great video of himself and Alex Skolnick dorking out over jazz (which is how I got into Wes Montgomery).

Edit - may as well link the video

Two spins in so far and it's grand, but not exactly fondling my balls like the previous record.

Need more time with it, of course.

It's a bit more of the same, not really a bad thing with Revocation. The two singles, title track, and Buried Epoch are what's standing out so far, but I'm only a couple of listens in too.

Although I was reading a review online and they pointed out that the cover looks like a giant arsehole and that's all I can see now

Was thinking it'd make a cool t-shirt print... well that's 25 quid saved for me now

I'm enjoying the instrumental with the jazz fella.

Gave this a few more goes today, and it's starting to click. "Despiritualized" is the highlight, with the wee jazzy bit at the start, then the solo and progression at the end. Phoar.

Love me some jizz bits  :abbath:

Another day with it, and it's the best thing since slice bread. Unreal how they have this sort of quality nine albums deep.

Good album, but so far I think I'd prefer Netherheaven and Outer Ones over it

Was watching the Garza Podcast with Davidson on it, he does a little bit on how he adds jazz chords into metal playing, might try out his tips for some of the stuff I'm working on. Just a shame the interviewer has the vocabulary of Robb Flynn(duuude, that's sick! DUDE! SICK BRO!)

The Garza chap indeed doesn't seem like the brightest of sparks. In his favour though he's a lot more down to earth and less of a cunt than the lkes of Rauta/Necrosphere/that plonker from Trivax or whatever. Enjoyed his one with Paul.Ledney.

He always reminds me of Cory and/or Trevor from Trailer Park Boys.
