It was on BBC4 for a couple of hours tonight, hopefully it'll be a regular thing.

I liked it when Alex "Whirlwind" Higgins was playing. MAN that guy could drink and still play a great game  ;)

He was a complete cunt, though.

Who's that commentating in the Higgins-Stevens match with McManus, Ebdon? He's atrocious, whoever it is.

I think it's Joe Perry.

Cheers. He's more annoying than Thorne, if that were possible.

Well known fact. Look it up. Read his biography. Great player, wonderful personality, but without a doubt a total fucking prick.

That's a shame.

How?

(Assuming you're talking about Higgins), he treated everyone like shit, his family, friends, business partners. Drank and gambled his life away.

A friend of my uncle's went out with him in the '60s or '70s, said he was a right prick. Complete bigot, too.

A great Snooker player but a shit human being it seems. Sad that.

Kurt Maflin tonight running out of position on a 147 attempt and giving the cue ball the finger was hilarious. Got a warning for it too.

Saw that, nice to see some genuine emotion from a player though, they're usually so restrained.

Turns out O'Sullivan likes playing with no crowd, after all. Battered Un-Nooh 10-1, taking less than half an hour for the two final frames this morning. Looks like everyone else is fucked.

He was quite critical, before he got to the tournament, about the decision to have a restriced audience in attendance, saying that the organisers were "using the players as lab rats" or words to that effect (Trump had a go at him, saying he should have pulled out along with Hamilton - who must be rightly sickened now). In his post-match interview he said he preferred it this way so it clearly suits him.
