Never liked this band. The production really put me off, and as some people said, there's no breathing room most of the time

None of these are to your taste John?  ::)

There now. Great vibe, the weather helps!

Also. The Infernal Sea were brilliant. Never heard them before

Harbinger are really good. Their drummer is class
9
Also Face of Sin album by Mortal Sin. "I am immortal" is a stone cold classic

Quote from: Eoin McLove on March 27, 2024, 10:10:41 AMKind of after the stuff that could be considered precursors to black and death metal but I'll check out some of those who I haven't heard yet. Cheers.
In that case you have to check out Nasty Savage. It's a terrible band name, but absolutely straddles the line between heavy thrash and proto death metal

Any chance of people self-editing and just making it a top three of the year, as opposed to a list of stuff you liked in 2023?

This is definitely in my top 1 or 2 albums this year.  And the vocals made it.
Couldn't understand that Banger review of it, and Blayne is normally pretty good

Looking forward to this. A lot of the old heads around

Quote from: Anvil on December 01, 2023, 05:13:40 PMThese two really stand out for me (I think they are 2023).

Megaton Sword - Might and Power
Majesties - Vast Reaches Unclaimed

Also
Horrendous - Ontological Mysterium
Cirith Ungol - Dark Parade
Marduk - Mememto Mori
Cruel Force - Dawn of the Axe

(my memory is shit, so I'll add to this when I remember what was actually released this year)
Megaton Sword was so good
