It's an incredible release but I expected as much. I've only listened through 3 times but it's easily an AOTY contender for me. So wonderfully crafted, and such a natural progression  from AUO. A rare album that I want to start again as soon as I've played through it. Sublime

Solar Witch , from the upcoming Hive Mind Necrosis. Massively anticipating this one. One of the most important bands of the last while imo

Doldrum - The Knocking (or the story of the sound that preceeded their disappearance) - one of my favorites from last year and still can't get enough of

Derhead - The Grey Zone Phobia - Recent discovery that I'm falling for very easily

Also been revisiting all of Living Sacrifice's back catalogue, a band I loved as a youngfla and kinda forgot about so loving all over again

Over the last while...

Entropia - Total : Vaccuum was a firm favorite of 2019 or so this had a lot to live up to for me and it hasn't quite grown on me to that extent yet but I can already tell its a huge leap forward in so many ways

Klone - Meanwhile : BIG fan of Here Comes The Sun, this one has them taking the simpler elements of that album but really expanding on them beautifully and they make it work so well. Seriously lush melodies and earworms throughout

The Devouring Void - The Hypnagogic Hallucinations : Utterly spectacular one-man show stuff, one of the best releases I've heard in some time. What I've listened to of the latest (split) is unreal too

Kruelty - Untopia : New on the Profound Lore roster and new enough to me, by-the-numbers beatdown stuff but it's done well enough to have me come back

Messiah - Choir of Horrors: Came across some 1989 footage of Messiah live recently and it kicked my bollocks off so I've been completely buzzing off this one lately

Gorycz - Kamenie: a work of art as far as I'm concerned. Gets under your skin like little else

Knut - Challenger because its an all-time favorite and I can never get enough of it

Yeah they got the bassist from Stargazer in for this one. I really liked 'Foul Origins...' and this is shaping up to be better still, partilcaurly with that fretless added to the mix

Yes this was a surprisingly great EP for me. I wasnt even aware of the clientele involved when I first heard it but it made complete sense on discovery (if that makes sense). The dynamics work perfectly and some great musicianship on display in flashes without overdoing shit. I also hadnt copped it was an EP when I first heard it so definitely wanted more by the time it had finished. Defo ones to keep an eye out for with a full-length

I've had the new Warp Chamber on pretty consistently lately, prob go down as one of the AOTYs for me. The new Cryptic Shift is pretty excellent too. Did anyone catch the

Oranssi Pazuzu livestream at the weekend? It was so good.

This Dreams Of The Drowned album is good if you're looking for some VBE worship. I've been loving the new

Afterbirth but its missing the spark of The Time Travellers Dilemma. On a tenuously similar note I'm interested in listening to the new Defeated Sanity but I haven't yet. That one track was pretty batshit anyway. Then theres the latest

Serpent Column which has been on constant rotation, like every album of theirs for me. Still baffled me how unsung this band is. Chepang put out a new album today, I've only listened the once but its typically blistering.

Coffin Texts - The Tomb of Infinite Ritual.  Utterly relentless. I've also been revisiting both Dodecahedron albums. I has forgotten just how superb the debut was, but I have no idea why I didn't give the last one, 'Kwintessens', the time it deserves when it came out. It is absolutely incredible

No sir, that would be Bad Rep. I'll be (playing) at it though
