There was an RTE radio doc a few years ago that featured it. They drank and did gigs in the same pub in New York, am nearly ceratin that Hansard was in Jeff Buckleys band for a gig or two. Buckleys first gig outside of America was the trinity ball.

Jesus thats awful. Saw the frames 25 years ago and they were great back then. He was on top form with Eddie vedder but the best gig I saw him at, was when he performed with Interference (the singer passed away from motor neurone disease) and that was sensational. RIP

Great documentary called Breaking Out about Fergus O Farrell.Definitely worth a watch.

He did a brilliant version of "Rocky Road To Dublin".

Outrun was a great album.Bought it on the back of seeing Drive.

Seen him solo a few times over the yeras and The Frames at couple of festivals.Always a brilliant performance.He seemed to achieve more success solo at least in the USA anyway than he ever did with The Frames who like alot of other Irish bands never seemed to get the big break they needed.

Until it Sleeps is a good song,but i  disagree that it's their last great song. A couple of songs off Death Magnetic are fairly good too.

Crown Of Barbed Wire and Chasing Light on 72 seasons are 2 brilliant tracks.Would be far better live than anything else off that album.Reload has some underrated tracks.Devils Dance,Fixxxer,Where The Wild Things Are would all be great live.Load has tracks better than Until It Sleeps.Bleeding Me and The Outlaw Torn are quality.

I remember recording Until It Sleeps off the 2fm metal show.I really liked Load.King Nothing was great to hear aswell.

Being a cynical prick I didn't think I'd enjoy Sandman or Whisky In The Jar but they were both great.For Whom The Bell Tolls and Blackened were the high points for me.

I enjoyed the hell out of night 2! 

Likewise.Whiplash kicking things off seemed to set the tone.One of the best gigs I've been at in years.

Tonight was brilliant.
Sound was much improved.Gojira were decent,drummer is a beast.
Great set from Metallica.Could pick holes in it but I really enjoyed it and it's shows like this that remind why I love music.

What time did Pantera go on at? Want to get in for Gojira tomorrow, but heard there was a few different stage times doing the rounds, assuming it'll be the same for both nights

On the blood drive thing, I go in to donate every couple of months anyway and didn't realise this was happening when I went earlier in the week. They just had a few boxes of shirts and said I can grab one or two if I wanted. They're pretty decent, nice little surprise to get

Same pricks last week did a GNR review saying Axl finally turned up on time.That gig was their 4th in Ireland since he walked off the stage at the 3 arena.

I actually thought Nothing Else Matters was great and that's a song I'd normally skip whereas I thought "Metallica gives you heavy" Sad But True sound a bit weak and plodding.But in saying that I've been looking at the setlists,they post them on instagram after each show so it's fair to say you know what you are getting.The opening 4 numbers and Battery/Seek/Master Of Puppets were worth the price for me.

It shouldn't be played any night.

Saw the setlist there, 9 decent songs, 7 duds. Not a great average for the ticket price.

I really can't understand the fascination with that song.It's a shite version.It'll be full of 'ole ole ole' chants when they knock it out.
