There might be a good reason for it, but I always found it a bit off when a band turns their backs on the crowd after they've played a few songs already and then turn back when they start the song. It's not a surprise. We know it's them.

Where did this band Faetooth come from and why are they everywhere all of a sudden?

I don't know how promotion works but there may be pipelines that me older metallers perhaps aren't totally aware of or use too much. The younger crowd could be picking up on bands through a larger spread of stuff like Discords and TikTok maybe spreading a lot themselves before it hits those of us who don't totally. There has been a noticeable uptick in younger people in the crowds of the gigs I've been to and I wondered where they all came from. Haven't a clue about the endorsements/press etc.

I wonder has the risk changed in terms of putting a band out on tour. It could be that post-Covid people are less discerning in what gigs they go to nowadays depending on funds so there's less risk to put a band out there. For example, last year I went to Wormrot and Night Demon without ever knowing either, as did one of my friends. I actually would have gone to Faetooth last weekend even though I only listened to them this week, but I was at Abhorration.

Hello. Was previously on MI but fell away from the whole online space. It might be just a post-Covid crest but it feels like metal has gained a second wind - obviously sans the metal bar socialising side of things.
