Nickleback were always quite the punching bag but I'm not sure why?

I've only ever heard whatever songs were on the radio at the time about 20 years ago and I wouldn't describe them as awful, yet it seems like it's cool to hate them. I don't know anything about them, is yer man a twat or something?

Perhaps controversial, but I've never understood people who love Nirvana and hate Nickelback.

Really good stuff. The music on its own is well crafted, Neurosis style sludge/doom but with its own character. The use of delicate sean-nós style singing on top isn't always perfectly seamless, but I think it is very effective regardless. The looseness between both styles is alright with me. Nice video as well.

I understand the opposition to AI-generated artwork.

At the same time, neither The Abyss nor Tron were nominated for Best Visual Effects at the Oscars, on the explicit grounds that they'd used CGI, which the Academy considered "cheating". Now, of course, you'd be hard pressed to find a film nominated for that award in the past ten years (or even twenty) which doesn't use CGI in some capacity. I do strongly suspect we'll look back on the initial controversy over AI-generated artwork in much the same way.
