Funnily enough, IT sent an email this morning with the results of their most recent fake phishing email test. Sales team came out on top as usual with the highest number of people clicking and entering credentials. I don't know if there are any repercussions for them beyond having to sit through some instructional video, but it must me mightily frustrating for IT when this keeps happening.

Already enjoying it, the writing is lush and - maybe because of how used to seeing the aesthetic we would be nowadays - the imagery vivid.
Neuromancer has one of the best opening lines of any book. Great description.
I loved Solaris, wasn't sure about Slaughterhouse Five, I must give it another look, it was one of my Dad's favourites.
Just coming back on this because I am still dragging my heels through Neuromancer. I enjoy it while I am reading it but nothing particularly makes me want to pick it up now while I am in the middle section of the book. First parts were great though. Will finish it out. Usually I only read one thing at a time but I've started into a few other bits alongside this just to get over the hump of it (which might equally just be my own mind as much as the book itself).
I struggled with Neuromancer. Don't think I even finished it.
Aye I'm in the same boat. Read it years and years ago and felt like I didn't appreciate it so I gave it another go a couple of years ago. Did nothing for me. Couldn't get into it at all.
Currently on Post Captain. Book 2 out of 20(!!!) in the Aubrey Maturin series (Master and Commander is based on these novels).
Digging them so far but the naval warfare terminology is a bit much!
And seeing as Dan Simmons died last month, I figured I should read more than just Hyperion and The Terror (both of which I enjoyed, especially The Terror), so I've started into The Song of Kali. A few chapters in and I have a good feeling about it.

They haven't put out anything that got me particularly worked up in over 25 years, but jaysus I'd have been all over this if I was still in Dublin.
Saw them in the Olympia in December 2000, at the height of my obsession with them and it was amazing.

Beherit - Drawing Down the Moon.
I've had a digital version of this on the hard drive for years and years, but since getting the physical version, it's been playing non-stop.
I've always found that I can't fully appreciate a release unless I own it on CD or LP.
Insane album, though. Will finally get the chance to see them in August.
Worm - Necropalace.
A lot less miserable death/doom than before. Tougas is showing off the guitar skills quite a bit here. Class stuff.
Concrete Winds - Everything they've done.
Gym and work soundtrack this past few weeks. One of my favourite current DM bands. An absolute sonic assault.

Lobbed Weapons on last weekend and it was great. Very satisfying ending!
Late Night With the Devil has been on my mind a fair bit lately. Enjoyed the heck out of that one. Well overdue a rewatch. Bonus points for the Pentagram track at the beginning too.

I probably wouldn't have gotten into metal when I did if it hadn't been for Cathedral.
If memory serves, it was a track off The Carnival Bizarre that did the trick.
I remember being told in college that Endtyme was worth seeking out, so off to the Sound Cellar I went.
I should have checked the brown paper bag Tommy gave me, because he popped The VIIth Coming in there instead
Got it exchanged anyway and I'll admit to being a bit disappointed when I heard this slow fucking dirge. I thought Cathedral was all groove!
I eventually came around and ended up digging it rightly. I still love the groovy era, of course.
Got the chance to see them when they supported HIM in 2004 and it was pure class. A pity that I'd only get to see them once more, but them's the breaks.
They'll always be a special band for me.

Going back around 20 years, it was only around for a year or two. Fucked if I can remember what it was called, but when I lived in Galway I met a fair few heads through it.
It wasn't Dvblinia, was it?

Funny, I bumped into Nekroculchie at Beyond the Gates last week and we had a good natter about some of the shenanigans on MI and at gigs over the years.
It was a great resource and I wouldn't have a fraction of the number of mates/contacts in the scene were it not for spending a bit too much time on there.

Ta for the link! Got sorted too!
Very much looking forward to this. Absolute Elsewhere is one of my favourite albums from last year and the live footage I've seen since they started touring it is cracking.
Sijjin and Oranssi Pazuzu I've seen before, with OP being particularly class. Was dying for another opportunity to see them again.
