I see they've put up the venue map and there's only one entrance, just wondering how the front standing tickets work?  Is there a barrier across the middle of the field with access to the front? Never been to Malahide Castle so curious as to how they do it.

Quote from: Kunt 4 Life on February 06, 2025, 04:15:15 PMIt is all for charity so you can turn a blind eye to that.

All 'profits' will be split between charities.... So once Live Nation, Sharon incorporate and the rest have taken their lovely cuts they'll give to charity. Let's not give them too much props to justify the incoming extortionate pricing ... Just some.

Great gig really enjoyed it. I've wanted to see Pallbearer for years and they didn't disappoint. Their short set got better as they moved through the songs.

Co-Headline gigs can be hit and miss and to be honest if Graveyard were on last I would've possibly left early. They were grand, enjoyable at times but an hour of it was too much.

Baroness were deadly, loved the energy and the crowd were enjoying it. I agree, a longer set would've been great but the hour was quality stuff.

Enjoyable gig. First time seeing Conan and they were solid.Orange Goblin were great, nice setlist and merch was half decent prices for once.

First time in Opium, I made the rookie mistake of standing over the far side from the stairs basically where the walkway for the jacks was. Sound was decent, vocals could've been slightly higher maybe.Pity they had to finish at 10 definitely had a few more songs in them.

Mastercard presale link. This presale is happening now and I'm guessing anyone can use it but you need a mastercard to pay.

Slaughter is one of my all time favourite albums so I was looking forward to hearing this in full. I enjoyed it and it will definitely get a few more spins.

Stolen Hope is the best song on their for me, love the early Exhorder/Pantera vibes and fuck me his vocals are unreal.

Their gig in the Voodoo lounge was deadly, easily one of the best gigs that year.

They always do a great show, just think the Olmypia is such a hit and miss venue that I can't see myself shelling out for it. The smaller the venue the better with those lads in my opinion. The old pub gig days are long behind them but they've killed it in Vicar St, Button Factory and Whelans etc

I've seen Therapy? a shit load of times and love Troublegum but the question is would I pay €40 to see them in the Olympic..

Just home, great gig! Baest were deadly, Ecclesia, Wormlord and the new song Collosus were the highlights for me! Really got the crowd going during their relatively short hour on stage.

Thought Unmaker were very good too. Groove metal ala Lamb of God. Thought their 4 person Wall of Death was hilariously pathetic!

Horrenda gave it socks, the lad on vocals hopping the bar, pulling a shut pint of Guinness and downing it mid set was probably their highlight.

Crowd was tin on the ground for the supports and maybe half filled it for Baest but were some craic down the front. I'm surprised Baest can't pull a bigger crowd, as death metal bands go they put on a great show.

Should be a cracker. Unmaker and Horrenda doing support so hopefully a half decent crowd for a Tuesday night!

Fuck didn't realise the €72 tickets were the cheap seats... That price was a push for me but the price for standing is fucking excessive!

Everything marketed towards the well off and the fanboys these days. Depressing.

€72 a ticket...steep but a good line up so I'll probs fork out for it. For me Testament should be the headliners with the other two as support but that's the age old Big 4 debate for you!

I'd go one album further and say up to Thornography is great, love I am the Thorn.

Amongst their later stuff are some decent tracks and Manticore still gets regular plays in my house.

Also one of the best gigs I've been to, was Cradle with God Seed and Rotting Christ in the Forum London 2012. All three fucking ripped!

Baest

Belfast 5th February Limelight 2
Dublin 6th February The Grand Social

Didn't see any promotion of this until scrolling through the MCD website the other day.

Really enjoyed their last album Necro Sapiens so can't wait for the gig!

Christ some of you lads need to try a little thing called being sound. Foreigners, gays and trans aren't the fucking bogeyman.

As someone who has lived 40 years in a shitehole part of Dublin all I can say is it's the Irish in the area who cause the problems not those currently living in a near by office block! It was Irish lads who broke into my house twice, who robbed my car and took a swing at me in the last few years. It was also to Irish lads who had a knife fight over drugs at the end of my road two weeks ago and who deal in the area. The majority of spongers in the area are also Irish.

Life is short, stay off social media and try being sound. Who gives a fuck where a person is from or their gender, born and bread Irish cause the issues in this country, no matter what the internet says!
