I made a playlist on Spotify of the first night there and listened to it while I was falling asleep last night and jaysus they've an awful awful amount of decent tunes

I watched their full set at arctangent. Twas an hour long and not 1 dud song. They're class.

Idles were a bit of craic. Deftones were class. Really good set as well. In bits now getting a train. Ugh.

Ah lads. Have a look at stevi.item on Instagram's most recent stories. Seems they were left with no transportation to get to Cork at all when the gig finished last night and have since received an email from the Underworld in London saying that the promoter hasn't even hired or paid for use of the venue even though they're supposed to be playing there tomorrow night. Awful stuff

I know one person IRL whos fallen into this general sinkhole. Its quite sad to see him slowly isolate himself as people one by one grow tired on the endless shite and weird superiority attitude that comes along with alot of this shite.

Read a study recently where people who believe in this nonsense do feel "superior", as in they have knowledge the rest of us don't have.
It feeds into a humans need to feel special or validated i think. I was like that when I was younger. Id play music to impress people. Not i play it for the enjoyment it gives me.
I know I'm on a tangent here but I firmly believe the ones getting caught up in this need to learn to appreciate themselves as they are, ask themselves where they want to go and start doing positive things to achieve that. Instead of looking to blame someone or something. Anyway tangent over.

Its a good question to ask. Years ago I would have felt superior. Not anymore. Im 47 now and im done thinking im better than anyone else. This thread shows you can have a civil debate. Exchange of ideas, think about them and give an opinion.

I do often wonder what type of gom falls for these charlatans. Over the past 2 years I've encountered tons of these fucks online. I go in with simple questions to what they put forward and its always the same response. Either block me or fob me off with some bullshit data that dosent stand up to any scrutiny at all. 99% of them are just grifting cunts, making money off nonsense.

I saw Neurosis at Roadburn many moons ago. Was class. Will have to go to this now.
