Duo you have enough guitarists? I'm not a Frontman, I'm afraid.

Bit of a sketch look
Thanks for that, I sometimes forget about all the other stuff he has done. To be fair, I've not worn a Burzum shirt in a long time, and I won't be bringing any to Norway.

Metal Discussion / Norway Visit
July 20, 2026, 04:33:54 PM
Heading to Norway in a few weeks with the other half, Oslo and Bergen, but only really thinking now of Metal places to visit (it's not the main reason for the visit).
Have any of you been and what are some Black Metal locations that are worth visiting? Metal bar recommendations would also be appreciated.
Some stupid questions, I assume Helvete is a must, but do you have to ask to go to the basement, etc.?
Also, I assume wearing a Burzum tshirt is a no-no? Or is it?

May 30, 2025, 09:45:02 PMQuote from: Eoin McLove on May 10, 2025, 12:57:41 PMI really hope he goes on to the studio with these new songs otherwise they'll end up being little curios that I'll listen to a few times in youtube and forget about. If they get finished in a way that does them justice and get pressed up I could see myself getting mileage out of them.Just gave the 4 new ones a proper listen, and really liking them. As you say though, they could do with doing properly.
Unfortunately, I see a quote from his Twitter
" Lately, I have made four new tracks for Burzum. I think they were all pretty good, too, but...
... the RPG roots run too deep to keep this up. The CALL OF THE ANCESTORS draws me back to my original calling.
Yeah, I am back to working on RPGs, and I don't have time for both. Some of you will rejoice. Others won't.
See you around...
ReconQuest > Burzum.
IMAGE: You might see a musician. I see an RPG lover...."
So we may not hear more again for a while.

For 2 similarly epic closing solos, see Mercyful Fate - Is that you, Melissa, from In the Shadows, and King Diamond - Black Horsemen, from Abigail.

The Cruel Sea is based on an Irish Trad piece. Wish I could recall the name of it.

Metal Discussion / Metal bars in Lisbon and Porto
July 20, 2023, 07:26:49 PM
Anyone recently visited Lisbon or Porto and found any decent metal bars/music shops?
There used to be a good website that listed metal bars, but it doesn't seem to exist any more.
Thank you.

Afraid to say that I've never seen Iron Maiden live.
Was considering going tonight, but that setlist really does not do much for me.
