I'll be there as usual! Playing with We Come In Pieces at 15.50 in the warehouse.

Looking forward to Sweets afterwards. They're fantastic but haven't gotten outside Limerick much yet so will be a treat for anyone travelling down.

Seen em in Limerick a good few times. They're fantastic. One of the better tributes around. Miles better than the Seattle grunge experience.

Fantastic day and night all round! Went really well. Lovely crowd!

Thought settler kicked off the bill nicely. Was very impressed with wytch hazel and night demon. Cirith ungol we're great too but I'm not that familiar with their back catalogue so I was done after about an hour. Only so much heavy metal I can take in one day!

Very happy overall

That was loads of fun! Lots of heads at it from bands and it was hopping from the start till the end. Great night

Saw them at arctangent last year and it was absolutely incredible. Has to be seen live and in person really.

Very expensive show to put on as there's between 30-40 people involved in the production and they've to get clearance with customs because some of their props and costumes use real human remains. Also I recall there being some issues with the fact there's nudity in the show from talking to a promoter who put them on in the past.

Probably explains the venue choice and tickets.

Really really enjoyed Suffocation. Pure sound folks too. They were genuinely delighted to be playing in Ireland.

Regarding merch, definitely seeing prices creeping up across the board. It's nearly twice as expensive to get shirts made now though than it was pre COVID.

Also, Dolan's doesn't take a cut on the merch, fully goes to the bands. Godflesh dropped the price of their shirts by a fiver at their gig because of this so some bands do take it into consideration!

Checked em out in Dolan's. Great craic altogether!

I'll clear up a few things here.

I'm Ciaran - one half of bad rep. We did in fact get sued for someone getting injured at a siege. It's no secret that it almost ended our ability to run the fest, and in fact shows in general. It's all been sorted now and while headbanging and a bit of light moshing is cool. Heavy moshing and stage diving is an offence that will get you a caution first and ejected upon repeat offenses. Thing is - this is actually the case in every single venue in the country. Heavy moshing and stage diving is banned everywhere and a grounds for being thrown out.

There was one lad I saw get several cautions from security - who I fully stand by btw, we're blessed to have the most patient and understanding security here - who also fought our corner tooth and nail during the times we nearly had to call it quits here over the lawsuit.

If that was you who they said it to then you fully deserved to be ejected. The offender I saw got asked to calm down after climbing between the center monitors on the stage- causing the bands monitors to cut out. They were asked to calm down and both myself and the band alerted security to the issue. They were given another chance to chill the fuck out by our head of security and they proceeded to start getting mouthy with him. I witnessed this myself and if that was you- I'm sorry but you should have been escorted out long before they did it.

It's a gig. If you're interfering with the running of the show and other punters enjoyment of the show then you're gonna get at least a caution.

Limerick show is cancelled yeah. Basic logistics really, their driver can't legally do the journey between the 2 dates so they opted to do Birmingham instead.

Very, very disappointed. In 14 years of putting on shows this is only the 2nd time something like this has happened with us once a show has been announced and for sale.

The rescheduled date for this is now Friday the 12th, coming up fast!

He's doing a WASP set and support is from Wicked Jackals

It changes incredibly regularly.  I couldn't even think of a few off the top of my head now, aside from obvious larger sites you'd get by googling Metal Reviews.  We had a list for Third Island that our old guitarist put together after some weeks of scouring the internet that had about 200-300 blogs and sites for review internationally, but the last time I sent an EP to thr full list more than 200 of them came back as dead links.  Have yet to go back and update it all.

Your best bet is to find some groups on FB that are in the genre you're closest to, and see what sites get posted in them regularly, send it to those.

Yup, it's an ever changing landscape.

The best way to find some is to check your peers social media posts over the last few months and see who's doing stuff currently.

Delighted we were able to pull this off. Twas a real rollercoaster of a week leading up to it!

The crowd was fantastic. Everyone played ball with the rules and respected the venue in dealing with the restrictions. There was no trouble and it was smiles all round. Couldn't have asked for a better crowd tbh. Really happy with the sound, lights and stage hand and gear room crew. They all put in crazy hours and made the day run really smoothly.

I didn't get to see as many bands a`s I would have liked to with the running around doing stuff but opening the Warehouse with Shardborne was amazing for me. We felt like we'd a blast on stage and had such a strong crowd, especially for such an early time of the day!

Only black mark for me is the Anti Vaxxers who made it their mission to comment under every social media post we made in the leading up to the event. No pleasing some people. Gets pretty exhausting dealing with that shit constantly after nearly 2 years of not having normal shows and doing everything we can to bring something good to people.
