Here's this week's Bad Reputation Video going out at 8pm with the Dublin band Scathed.  Last week we'd Brigantia, which was one of my favourite of all the videos/streams we'd done!

There's a link for anyone who's missed it and still wants to check it out. We're super happy with how it all turned out and feel like the peoples money went to good use! Since we made more than our goal originally called for we're going to run another small series of live videos over the end of April/May with a couple of bands who haven't been in for a video session yet with us over the last year!

With Bad Reputation in Limerick we're going to run a special video for the Easter Sunday, which would normally be our weekend for the Siege of Limerick festival.  We're crowdfunding this one as there's no other means for us to make it happen! We'll have a couple of bands doing live performances and some interviews. If anyone on here feels like throwing in a few quid it's going towards the production crew to make it happen and to giving the bands a few quid.

A friend of mine has one- Diarmaid from Craic Sabbath. It's a nice guitar for the money, sounds great plugged in too. He's gigged a bunch with his and it's held up to abuse over a few years!

He tried a few guitars in Steamboat Music and picked that one over some more expensive options but if you've not the luxury of trying it before hand it's probably a bit of a gamble.

Meant to stick this up before the fact but here's a government funded live stream done out of Dolans, limerick through Bad Rep and Nua media featuring Shardborne, Senzar and Zealot Cult. Super happy with how this turned out and the quality has far surpassed our expectations!

Facebook appear to be poo-pooing on the musical livestream

fascinating. They were practically pushing bands to upload to their own video platform by nerfing youtube links the last few years and now they're going totally the other way. Getting your pages deleted for uploading music instead of family/friends material

I'm gonna buy one of those Harley Benton ISO supplies myself next time a thomann order is on the cards. My big pedalboard has some silly amount of individual supplies on it for my big draw digital pedals. I'm thinking one of the HB's will cover those nicely on their own and I can use the Aliexpress one for all the "normal" draw pedals.

Latest purchase for me was another set of Ketron midi Bass pedals. The guy threw on a 2nd set along with them since he couldn't find the right lead for them and it was a custom job getting them wired. Love these things for playing Synth with my feet along with my guitar.

Not from us in Limerick unfortunately! We've not got the use of the venue this weekend.

We'll be back next weekend, announcing the bands for it tonight! We'll also be reuploading the sessions we've already done with additional camera angles and remastered audio.

Not metal but I've also been working these other streams which has a large team and big production, also out of Dolans.  Windings are on the same label as Shardborne and Rest and would probably appeal to most Metallers.

Well a new 6262 head shipped to me today so let's see. If it has the same problem it can go back and stay back... my guess it was just an issue with that particular head rather than a design bug present in all 6262 units... lets see. The sound from it was savage so fingers crossed.

I picked up a DSL20 head too having returned a 1W DSL one i bought... I only want it  (and it's tone) for recording (so the 1W was fine) but for some dumb reason they only offer a 16ohm output on the 1W version which doesnt work well for my setup ( 8ohm captor and 8 ohm cab) so it went back... The 20W version has a better set of specs overall (inc 8 ohm output)....

Thats so silly! If they're gonna just have it at a fixed impedance they should have had it at an impedance that suits hooking up more than just their 4X12.

The Music Venue Trust here in the UK wrote an open letter to the Government:

I think this was partly based on a survey they had asked people to fill in about their views on venues reopening and gig goers were pessimistic about the wanting to go to a (real, packed in, small venue) gig any time soon.

The UK is going to be hit extra hard after this too when Brexit and their new VISA rules come in.

Dolans are running 2 of the "drive-in" concerts on the site of the docklands gigs that were due to happen. Gavin james and hermitage green. very non metal but it is definitely something that can be pulled off here. Not something we'll be doing with metal but it is happening in Ireland!

What amazes me is that the way they do these is by having everyone tune in on their car radios so there won't be a big PA there as such!

We ran a poll there asking what peoples thoughts would be on running shows in August. The amount of morons who can't wrap their head around the fact that social distancing is going to be happening is amazing. No- there won't be moshing allowed, if we're even allowed to run shows at all.

Also- forget bands from the US for a while. and Brazil. They will flat out not be able to get here.

I have one of those Akai LPD8's for a few years actually, grand handy little thing.  The midi-learn feature in cubase is great for assigning the rotary knobs, not sure if Reaper offers the same thing...

Waiting on a few bits to arrive for the studio today - I bought the Bugera 6262 - (a clone of the 6505/5150 but half the price).  Bought a B-stock Marshall 1W DSL1HR too for fun...

Yeah Reaper has the same midi learn function.

The Bugera stuff sounds great but I know a few folks who've had their newer heads and they all had issues. One mate of mine has the v22 head and it only sees bedroom use and it just died on him about 6 months in!
