Artwork was never the bands strong point other than the iconic smoking Jesus.

Seen a bit of an interview with Keenan recently. Apparently they were in the same studio as Soundgarden back in the day. Keenan got his hands on the crown of thorns from their 'Jesus Christ Pose' video and someone took a pic of him smoking a joint wearing it.

I never heard that before I wonder if the original photo was ever posted online.

The academy gig was great I would definitely go to see them if they played here again. I'd love to have seen them at least once with Tucker especially playing that F-H set they did last time they toured but at this point it seems like MA is done.

It's not just an Irish thing. It's the same here Scandinavia. They just want to screw you for as much as they can.
I got some t-shirts custom printed in Ireland last year. They were posted to here in September. I got a few notifications from Post Nord that the package was for collection. Went to the post depot, no joy. This happened 3 times over about two months. Then I just forgot about it. In January, the sender said she got the package back, as it had been returned from Sweden to her.
As luck would have it I was home in February for my daughter's wedding and could drive to pick up the package from her home, as it was only 25km away...
I've stopped ordering anything online, it's not worth it, and to be honest, I can do without I've learned.

I don't doubt its bad elsewhere but it seems to be exceptionally bad here. I mentioned in the past on here about how Australian post stopped shipping to Ireland for almost a year because of the fuck ups An Post were making when the all the customs stuff changed back in 2022. An Post sending thousands of packages back to senders that came from outside the EU because the machines they were using at the time were reading the labels wrong. As usual no accountability and it was left up to those waiting on the packages to sort the issues out and pay out of pocket for An Posts mistakes. An Post kept blaming it on the new EU customs rules yet no other EU country was having this issue at the time.

The plan for youtube soon is to bring in adds for paid subscribers as well they just won't have as many as those who watch for free. One of the many reasons ill never pay for youtube. I am watching less and less youtube these days as those adds they now have during live shows pissed me off to no end.

I had the licence inspector around at the house again the other week didn't answer so they left a note. Called at exactly the same time last year which was weird. Looks like it's been taken off anpost and they want to make it a revenue thing so I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up coming out of wages as a tax in the future. In saying all that you can't expect RTE to push all that propaganda for free.

Anpost yet again. Ordered 2 items from Japan and whatever genius at anpost got it mistook the Yen value on the package as euro and tried to charge me triple the customs costs. I called them straight away and was asked to send invoices etc. to an email address for review. I did all of this 20 mins after the call which now is 2 and a half weeks ago.

Got a follow up email a week later asking me for everything I had already submitted so I replied saying I sent everything you asked for in my original email to which I got no response. I emailed them last Friday asking when will this be resolved. Got a reply this morning saying the parcel has been sent back to the sender as the date to pay the customs was October 9th.

As if thats not bad enough I called up again to figure out what happens next as the seller is going to  be charged fees in Japan to get the package back and will have to pay to sent it to me again all the costs of everything will be passed on to me. The person on the phone apologised saying the issue was caused by anpost but sorry they don't offer anything for mix ups on packages so all extra costs to get this sent over again are on me.

That's the second package these wankers have sent back since the new customs fees in July also had a Hells one sent back at the end of July which I am still waiting to get resolved.

Another new customs fee for anything bought outside the EU coming in November. That's in addition to the other fee that they brought in back in July.

Thats now a minimum charge of €12 on anything that you order from outside the EU before they add VAT and other extras depending on the contents of the package.

Certainly not what the OP had in mind here but I'd just like to nominate that Dez Fafara lad as the biggest spoofer in metal. If anyone doesn't know who im on about, id recommend you stay blissfully ignorant. A few interviews with him have popped up of late on YT and you'd swear he was one of the most influential figures in heavy music. Lad has no idea how utterly inconsequential his garbage bands have been in the overall scheme of things, but you wouldn't think so the way he bangs on about it. An absolute chancer.

A lot worse than Dez about and at least back in my teenage years the first 2 Devildriver albums were great. Met him at the Rottfest 666 and he was a gent.

The Benediction set was over an hour. That was only Kams second show with them it's to be expected that he's still learning the lyrics. It was just an iPad near him and it wasn't even really noticeable. Great show if it was possible I would go to Belfast tonight after last night. I wonder will Kam join now as a full member or will it be a run shows then the band splits up. They won't survive replacing Ingram with some unknown.

They played Belfast in 2006 at that Rottfest 666 thing.

My mate moved from Sydney to Brisbane about 3 weeks ago and he works as an electrician. I can't wait now for all the voice messages from him moaning and whinging about the heat when he's at work.

Is this the same group that filmed the Whelans 25 show? I was watching that one drinking cans before this show. Great gig hope they come back again next year. Great turnout we need more international H/C bands playing in Ireland.

No idea what's going on but they are 100% reliable and one of the best labels around. Sven is a great guy and always was more than helpful with any minor issues I had with orders over the years.

I have seen the site closed down like that in the past when they are going to festivals so maybe something is on this weekend.

I don't know where the thread is gone talking about venues demanding commission on merch but I just got sent a thing this morning on some band called As It Is who played in the Academy last night and they said the venue wanted 25% of the merch sales and 23% vat on top of that. They refused to sell merch inside and Wigwam down the road let them sell the merch through them for 0% commission.

Thankfully no interest in going to this shite but it's interesting to see that for every European date the starting price ranges from €82 - €92 yet Ireland is starting at €181 I wonder why that is. Ireland wasn't the only place that complained about the dynamic pricing last time was it?

I missed them with Pantera and for €20 you can't go wrong.
