Somehow missed this initially then saw the promo Ray did, picked a good time of year to throw it on love the slow dreary atmosphere throughout. Cool concept for the name too.

Entropic Aeons shirts finally up on Bandcamp for those interested, design also by Mysterious Four as seen on the tape insert artwork https://incessant1.bandcamp.com/merch/entropic-aeons-t-shirt

Infinite appreciation for the support the release has gotten so far, seems the scene is in a pretty good place at the moment as far as underground releases have been going the past few years

Been absorbing it all weekend, really out on their own with this release. The more death metal leaning parts are also probably the best I've heard them do. Maybe it's time for any imitation bands to pack it in  ;D

They've released a gas little app where you can navigate constellations to hear "transmissions", the little snippet I heard sounds heavy as all fuck so I reckon it'll be a real nice combination of the heavy and ambient stuff https://stargateresearchsociety.app/

Cheers lads, much appreciated! Regarding release format just tapes & digital initially with the intent to have vinyl pressed down the line. Been long enough as is, so we wanted to just get it out and vinyl would've added another 6 odd months onto that.

Quote from: Eoin McLove on June 26, 2024, 11:31:27 AMSavage news. I love that artwork. I'll fire the song on in a bit.

Edit. I think it sounds really good. You lean heavily into the Bölzer influence in places which is maybe a bit blatant, but it's catchy and effective. Loads of energy and even through the phone I can tell the production is a step up from the debut. I'm intrigued by the description and very keen to hear the rest of it. I'll grab a copy of the cd and/or vinyl when the time is right. All the best with it.

Cheers man! Fair assessment on the Bolzer note but I don't think you'll find that to be the case across the rest of the EP, plenty of twists and turns to be had. For every few hundred bands blatantly ripping off Darkthrone or something of the sort we were bound to touch a little too heavy on something too I suppose. It's a futile battle in that regard really but an authentic attempt on our part I'd like to think! Glad ya like it anyway, appreciate the feedback.

How're yas

At long last we can announce that our new EP 'Entropic Aeons' will be released on Repose Records on July 26th. Took our time with this but the end product was worth it. It'll be a 5 track EP and stands far apart from our first release I reckon.

First Single 'Of Disillusion and Doctrine' is out now and cassettes can be pre-ordered from the link below.

This track is probably the most 'normal' of the bunch but it's a good taster I'd say:

Recorded, mixed and mastered by none other than Shauny of Last Light Recordings.

Cheers!

Yeah just wrapped up recording our follow up to this with Shauny at the weekend as it happens. Might be another bit before it's out while we figure out how to go about the release. Playing a few gigs with Sacrilegia and Morbid Romance in January with an entirely new set and should be announcing more after that. Basically been writing all the time but being fussy about what's actually worth putting out.
Cheers lads! .

Metal Discussion / ROOT back on Spotify

Maybe some are already aware but I certainly was not that Root's full discography appears to be back on Spotify for anyone else that swallows their pride like me and still uses the platform

Nabbed an LP of this too, can't wait to give it a spin. Interesting what was said way back in this thread about this capturing a certain time in the scene and there being a certain magic in the air. I was put onto this band only as a teenager around 2013 and I remember being taken aback by how unique it sounded and distinctly thinking how exciting of a time it must have been in the scene and what shame it was that they never continued etc etc so funnily enough a similar sentiment is shared about this band from some of us younger folk. Fair play to Scobes for getting this done!
