Someone needs to point out to that lad that he's happy to pose for photos with Gahhl who is an actual criminal who went to prison for beating the shit out of someone amd torturing him 😄

Listened to new Europe album "Come this madness" as it was recommended by  Pete Pardo on Sea of Tranquility which is my go to for reviews. Not a Europe fan at all but by God this rocks.

Ya I heard good things about that. Looking forward to listening to it.

Poor cat. I hope these cunts are found and beat to death.
Saw another video yesterday of some lad from Bray who chased a deer with his car and ran him over, breaking his back legs. The deer had to be put down. Video is sickening. At least that dumb cunt was stupid enough to share the video so everyone knows who he is.

Worm - Forceverglade

Warning - Watching From A Distance

Tiamat - Wildhoney (never got into this as much as the previous albums and never listened to anything they did after... Am I missing anything essential?)

Aggressive Perfector- Havoc At The Midnight Hour

Harrowed - The Eternal Hunger

Witching Hour - Descending...  Where Time Has Ceased To Exist (don't think I would give it a score quite as low as Thorn's, but it isn't going to end up in my end of year list either - I don't mind the vocals at all and the riffs are great!).

Deceptor - Reign of Terror (this might make my end of year list - old school Death/Thrash on Dying Victims a couple of months ago.  Nothing new but it has been hitting the spot for me).

Try Amanethes by Tiamat. It's like a mixture of all the styles they have done on one album. I'd say that's actually my favorite by them. I think Wildhoney is very overrated. Quite a boring album I find.

Got back into buying cds after years of streaming. I have to say I really missed having the booklet to flick through with the art and lyrics. Took a trip to the hmv in Limerick which has a decent selection of stuff.

Green Lung - This Heathen Land. Really enjoying this one and the booklet is really nice. His voice is like a mix of the guy from Ghost and Bruce Dickinson

Cradle Of Filth - Midian. Got this for €6.

Queen - Queen 2, 2026 remix. Sounds great.

Nightwish - Imaginaerum.

Nightwish - From Wishes To Eternity.

Marko Hietala - Roses From The Deep.

The Small Faces - Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake.

Madder Mortem - Necropol Lit. Simple yet very effective.

Iron Maiden - Only The Good Die Young. That bridge part.

Metallica - The God That Failed.

A lad in work gave me his copy of Mr Mercedes, just about through it and it's grand enough

Despite seeing all the film adaptations of King's stuff I'd never got around to any of his books for some reason. Going to go check out some of the classic stuff after this one

His 70s and 80s stuff is his best stuff imo. Pet Semetary is particularly bleak and brutal.

That bluetoothing thing has to be right up there with the worst ideas anyone has come up with.

Imagine being that desperate. Does it even work?

If you haven't already, check out Riders For Justice. Madds again and came out the same year as another round (I think). The tone is weird, it shouldn't work but absolutely does

Much more like it! Class film, and I'd never heard of it before this recommendation. Danish cinema is just so damn good.

I think I mentioned it before but Flickering Lights is another great one.

Watched that Lords Of Chaos last night. Wouldn't be a big black metal fan at all but I thought it was good now. They loved their kebabs and coca cola 😄

I liked it too. Thought it was cast pretty badly, but that aside it was an enjoyable enough film. The death scenes are fucking brutal!

Ya the scene where the singer kills himself was rotten altogether. It was actually kind of funny in places too. Was well done.

Mikko Karmila, producer at Finnvox Studios that worked on albums with Children of Bodom, Stratovarius, Impaled Nazarene, Amorphis, Therion...pretty much any big band from Finland in the last 30 years

Damn, he worked on a lot of my favorite albums.

I'm reading one at the moment called Maggie's Grave. It's very good so far. Nice fast paced horror and short enough at 250 pages.

Recently went back and read the Rigante series by David Gemmell. They hold up really well. I absolutely loved his books as a teenager.

Revival is one of his best recent books imo. I loved that one.

I wouldn't be a big prog fan at all but that Dancing with the Moonlit Knight song by Genesis is unbelievable.
