I'll definitely head back next year for it.

You've outed yourself here as a pure class cunt so no bothers big lad.

;D  You're some pathetic worm of a person.

Mithotyn - Gathered Around The Oaken Table. A very overlooked melodic death metal album.

Yeah that Aisling shop has some good selection of comics but they are a bit overpriced. I did get a copy of Batman/Houdini which was cool and not badly priced at €20.
Bell, book and candle is definitely the best out of that lot I think.

Not really. Galway is kinda shite for that stuff but do take a trip down to Bell Book and candle. That place has loads of second hand cds and vinyl and books and comics. It's a cool little shop and the owner is dead on.
You never know what you might find in there.

I used this place and was really happy with how they turned out. I think it was €300 for 50 cds with 4 panel digipack.

I think Host is great. Symbol Of Life is another one I really like as well.

Quote from: vinterland on July 05, 2023, 12:50:07 PMGates of Ishtar-A Bloodred Path, The Dawn of Flames and At Dusk and Forever. Three albums in three years before calling it a day. Didn't help their cause that there were a slew of similar sounding Swedish bands vying for the limelight at the same time and the fact they were signed to the relatively obscure Invasion Records for most of their tenure scarcely helped their cause. Well worth checking out especially since Century Media took the trouble of reissuing melodic death's answer to the unholy trinity.

Those albums are great.

Watched a French movie called With A Friend Like Harry.
Really good psychological thriller about 2 school mates who meet up later in life and one of them is a pure lunatic.
The French really know how to do good horror and thrillers.

Quote from: Trev on July 04, 2023, 09:42:30 PMGemmell's Troy series is brilliant, although he died halfway through the last one and you can nearly pinpoint when his missus took over to finish it

Lion Of Macedon and Dark Prince are class as well.

I tried to read those Wheel Of Time books and hated them. I think I got to book four before I gave up.
I'm back reading all my old David Gemmell books at the moment. He was always my favorite fantasy writer even if most of his books are similar.
I'm starting the Rigante series again and they are still really good.
