Spent the last few months pretty much lying or sitting down due to a nasty dose of sciatica and came across this cool link that has hundreds of old metal and rock magazines from the 80s/90s. Reading through them was a nice dose of nostalgia. Might be of interest to some on here.

Quote from: Eoin McLove on July 12, 2026, 10:23:09 PMIt's about a car crash where people are killed and the dude driving seems to go on a Dantéan trip through hell.

As far as I can remember there were 3 different parts to that film. The first part where they figure out they've been in a crash was great. The middle section was weird as fuck and the last section was really good. It's wasn't that great of a movie but I'd recommend watching it for the first and last section.

Went to see the new Evil Dead last night. Thought it was the worst one out of rhe newer ones. Not very good and way too long.

I love those early In Flames albums. The vocalist for Dark Tranquility did the vocals on Lunar Strain and Anders Friden did the vocals on the Dark Tranquility debut.

I saw the documentary a couple of months ago which is what intrigued me to watch the film. The documentary is great. It just shows how a great idea for a film can be destroyed by studio interference. All the sketches and stuff they had in mind looked so cool. Looked like a full on horror.

I really liked Crash. I thought Mother was great too. It definitely helped that I had an idea what it was about before I saw it.

Watched The Island Of Dr Moreau last night for the first time. Not a very good film but a lot better than what I was expecting after all the shit I'd heard about it. The creature design looks great in it and it's pretty gruesome for a 12 rated film. It's still very messy though.

Kill List is his best film imo. Could never get into anything he did after that. Down Terrace is good too.

Danish film where Mads Mikkelsen and friends try to test the theory that maintaining a blood alchohol level of 0.05% every day improves your life. Decent oul craic. They're all teachers and there's some genuinely funny parts of them all trying to hold it together in school. More of a drama than a comedy overall though.

Great film. If you haven't already, check out Riders For Justice. Madds again and came out the same year as another round (I think). The tone is weird, it shouldn't work but absolutely does

If you haven't seen one called Flickering Lights I would recommend that too. A lot of the same actors in it.

The worst thing about it is he got the all clear and then a couple of weeks or so later they found he had cancer everywhere. I can't imagine what a kick in the balls that must have been. Cruel shit.

I'm always glad to see people happy with their decision to have them, it just would not suit me at all.

Best thing to ever happen man. They're a gift and a blessing...

Best thing to happen to me was getting a vasectomy haha. There is not one part of having kids that seems enjoyable to me. The whole thing just seems like a load of monotonous nonsense.
