Gave Sleepy Hollow a rewatch last night. Forgot how good it looks.

Ground Of Ruin - Cloaked In Doctrine demo is one I always go back to. Pity they never got around to doing a full length.

My favorite Irish album is Archaic Creation by Old Season.

If you've the stomach for some gore, Martyrs is amazing. Not the film it starts of as. Grim.

I'm talking the French original, not the Yank remake.

Just gonna throw The Devils and Possession in here in case you haven't seen them. Former is being reissued, shitty remake of the latter pending

Not sure if you were talking to me but yes, I've seen Martyrs. I think I have seen most of the French extremity ones. Calvaire is another one that is excellent.
The original Vanishing movie is great too for anyone who hasn't seen it.
And another French one I enjoyed was With A Friend Like Harry.

Watched Dream Scenario the last night. Thought it was very good.

Rewatched a foreign one called Borgman. First time I watched it had no idea what was going on really and the rewatch didn't give me any clearer answers. I still enjoyed it though!

Seeing it in a cinema full of people who clearly didn't know what they were getting into was gas

Completely subjective any recommendations for a scary as fuck horror? I'm not as much into slasher blood/films but more Blair Witch/The Witch/Alien type creepy stuff

Undertone was a good one I saw recently. No gore, just really creepy and done really well.

I thought all of these were really good, especially Day Of The Beast. That one is really funny.

Re-watched this and, yeah, still a classic. Put me in the mood for more of same, so then re-watched another from same director which I've prob mentioned on here before: the ridiculously over-the-top Las Brujas de Zugarramurdi, translated as Witching & Bitching. Spark one up for it! 

I couldn't get into that one at all. I may need to give it another watch.I think I have watched most of his movies and Day Of The Beast was by far the best one for me. The Bar was decent too.

On the subject of Spanish films I think Rec 1 and 2 are brilliant horrors.

Helloween - Rabbit Don't Come Easy. This is probably my favorite Helloween with Andi Deris on vocals.

Helloween - Keeper Of The Seven Keys 2. For me this is the best power metal album ever recorded.

This is the one I've been rocking to the most lately. That riff at full volume is killer!

The song Nosferatu from that album is great. Never really hear people mention it when BOC come up.

Second watch of Pain & Glory (Dolor y Gloria) last night. Think it's def my favourite Almodovar, and I've never seen Banderas better in anything else.

Have to get me aul castellano warmed up before heading down to the in-laws on Friday, so if anyone has any Spanish-language movie recommendations, throw 'em at me.

I thought all of these were really good, especially Day Of The Beast. That one is really funny.

Had a listen to The Dreadful Hours yesterday again for the first time in years. I forgot how good the drumming is on it. Tasty fills throughout it.
The keyboards and piano work on it are excellent too. Fella from Bal-Sagoth did them.

I forgot how good these albums are and how much they make me want to pick up the guitar after listening to them. I remember the first time I heard them as a teenager and being blown away. I'd never heard anything like it before bar some Malmsteen and his stuff was too wanky for my liking.

There's an endless amount of old paintings and art that is in the public domain that is free to use.

Spent the last few months pretty much lying or sitting down due to a nasty dose of sciatica and came across this cool link that has hundreds of old metal and rock magazines from the 80s/90s. Reading through them was a nice dose of nostalgia. Might be of interest to some on here.

As far as I can remember there were 3 different parts to that film. The first part where they figure out they've been in a crash was great. The middle section was weird as fuck and the last section was really good. It's wasn't that great of a movie but I'd recommend watching it for the first and last section.

Went to see the new Evil Dead last night. Thought it was the worst one out of rhe newer ones. Not very good and way too long.
