€8.80 for a pint of session IPA? That's not a price, that's a ransom.

Quote from: Grim Reality on October 19, 2025, 07:22:47 PMThought Primordial were class. That's the band I know and love. Brilliant set list. So refreshing to hear much of the classic era delivered with such intensity. AA is a great vocalist if only he would stick to that gravely style which was the hallmark of that era. Very little in the way of the modern clean wail last night. I would have preferred if they did Storm instead of TTND. I think those three albums would run better together and TTND was the beginning of the end for me.

Coscradh was decent. A band that never fully clicked with me. Think they started late and only got 20 minutes.

Bolzer was fine but are much diminished from the act that blew minds when they emerged first around 15 years ago.

I had a snooze up in the balcony area during Saor. Great band for that. I don't mind pagan/folk metal but it's extremely difficult to do right. They lack a bit of an edge. Too soft. Your man's first band Askival were better. Polish band Stworz are an example of a band who pull off the pagan/folk style convincingly.

Good turn out. Crowd seemed well in to it. The pints I was drinking were 8.80 robbing cunts. Also the after party seemed a bit flat. Emptied out early I though.

Top night anyway and again hats off to Primordial for proving they are the top dogs in Irish metal.

Quote from: Snare on April 29, 2025, 06:00:36 PMWhat's up with the stage invaders in Dallas just jumping off it like they were hopping off a wall, rather than launching themselves??

Only 5 CoD tracks in that set list. Is this the regular anniversary tour set list? Strange if so.
I'm going to catch the full CoD set at Maryland in a few weeks and make up for missing the original tour on my doorstep as a 15yo with no money.

5 + medley of Chopped in Half / Turned Inside Out, that's almost 7 out of 9

The enigma known as PORTAL will be returning to Europe after 10 long years for a tour across the European continent! With them will be bringing Impetuous Ritual with whom they share members and have toured with before.

Decades of Horror, the work of Portal in achieving its twisted vision, multitudes of horror scapes seen through a distorted lens of filth. Elaborate darkness weaved into masses of Death Metal in its own antiquity of sonic violence and perpetuating the mythos self-created. The henchmen within this brood pledge to open up its gates to feed upon mortal terror, a duty to destroy the senses and sanity.

Since 1994 the churning had begun, on through the years creating such full length albums as Seepia, Outre, Swarth, Vexovoid, ION and Avow, representations unique amongst themselves, each bearing the mind-set at the time, furthering the horrific visions of the Olde Guarde.

Introducing the band stable line-up since 2009:

The Curator, Horror Illogium, Aphotic Mote, Ignis Fatuus, Omenous Fugue.

Impetuous Ritual is notorious for their unhinged live performances where the true power of the band emanates from and where they have gained the reputation as one of the most devastating live bands in death metal today! During the tour, they will be showcasing violent material from each of their four albums, including songs being played live for the first time!

Quote from: GetEvilAllTheTime on April 03, 2025, 10:07:51 PMCheers lads, myself and Jay from Sacrilegia running this, starting up a new promo venture to get more underground shows going. Wanted to get them to Limerick too but could only swing the Dublin date unfortunately. Not to be missed either way!

Here's the instagram page for the new promo for those interested: https://www.instagram.com/cryfromtheunderground/

Some other ideas in the pipeline and of course want to hit some other venues but we'll see how this one plays out as a first run at it.

Highly recommend checking out Morbific as well for anyone that hasn't, old school Autopsy/Gorguts style DM done right but still fresh: https://open.spotify.com/track/32gRR122ABqX3fj2LzPqtT?si=1ac9df0e7606445d

Great idea! I've been missing some proper UG events in Dublin for a while now. Launch some FB page as well. Good luck!
