Anyone know what that telegraph building in Belfast is like ? Ive never been in it
It's decent enough, big stage, but can be very cold, basically the wind just blows through the place. Big bar, easy to get served, and portaloos!!
Deadly, wasnt a fan of thr last two albums but DuVall does the old stuff justice.
Jerry really should just let him be the lead vocalist on the new stuff.
I'd say we will have to park in front of the computer at nine Friday to sort a ticket for this
€118.60 for 2 standing. Feeling a bit ripped off, but happy days I suppose
Tickets got. Jubbly!
Were they "prices from" tickets? I though they were supposed to be €47 or something like that.
A friend got em. €60 standing he tells me. Not cheap to be fair.
Belfast tickets came to £43.95 each including fees. Honestly cheaper than I was expecting given the price of tickets these days

Ouch. Way above my limit.
Belfast is £40 which works out at about €45 at the moment. I wonder why it costs €15 more per ticket to see them in Dublin?
Had the page up on the phone and the computer at 8.59- couldn't get any standing tickets had to settle for the top balcony which are fairly shite seats
.
Belfast is 2000. Dublin is 1600.

Both venues have roughly the same capacity at 1200 approx so the only thing I can think of is Brexit !! Nah I dont know, maybe venue hire ? Telegraph building is only an empty warehouse with portaloos !!
Take a look at pics of the Olympia.. there's yer answer
Looks like Belfast is sold out. Was checking Ticketbastard there and it's saying can't find the tickets you searched for. Lucky i got mine sorted.
The Olympia also have a 1euro charge included for all gigs there just to add to the overcharging.
"The fees for this event include a €1.00 restoration levy. The restoration levy will allow The Olympia Theatre to invest in maintaining and enhancing the theatre to ensure that it continues to consistently deliver the highest quality experience for theatre goers, actors, performers & producers."

To be honest I wouldn't have a major issue with that- it's the handling fees that ticketmaster charge that is the most infuriating thing. At least DME use tickets.ie where theres none of that shite.
The stupid thing is how few people take the tickets.ie option though....it's incredible how few do. Seems like people just automatically go to T'master in this country.

If you get one through tickets.ie do you still get a a physical ticket doing box office collection or is it just your name gets put on the list?

What would they complain about then?
And tickets.ie works the same. You'll get a proper ticket.
Just went to get tickets for Dublin and the bastard thing is sold out. If anyone has a pair going, give us a shout.
Have you been in a coma?
Tickets for the Olympia were gone like 15 mins after going on sale to say he slept on that one is an understatement alright.
On another note the absolute cheek of Baldy Corgan having Pumpkins on tour but yet going coming over here on his own, playing the Olympia also yet all seated and charging over 20 quid more than AIC make matters worse his Glasgow show is over half the price he is here, needless to say he can get fucked.
fully seated show for Corgan,he can piss right off charging that.although the last pumpkins tour got brilliant reviews, close to three hour sets.
Was at the Wembley gig was very good alright although did ooze that it was the Billy Corgan show rather than a cohesive unit. Tickets were silly prices as they were but they actually implemented golden circle in the arena too that really irked me, just 2 dates for Europe and couldn't sell out London.
If prices were on par with Glasgow for the solo thingy prob would go at but at those no thanks!

I have heard very whispered rumors of another Dublin date but definitely no extra Belfast date
hopefully the Sunday night the 19th!
Hopefully.
I was trying to get tickets at 9am the morning they went on sale and had no luck.
.
Low balled. They're shit.

Wynona Bleach supporting on both dates.
From Belfast...Ive never heard of them.
Jesus Christ, that's a fucking joke, was a back hander involved? It's nearly as bad as the Belfast band who got to support atdi in vicar at.
Absolutely. Dreadful stuff.
Very disappointing choice on the support front.they are shite.just means more time for pints beforehand.

Who thought having them open for AIC would be a good idea, honestly.
Still gutted I didn't get a ticket though.
Caught a small dose of Wynona Bleach, think I'll need years of therapy, dreadful.
Alice In Chains delivered in spades, great to finally have them do a headline show here. No major surprises setwise but the stuff is so good it doesn't matter.
Two mutts in front of me we're going to film the whole show, one had a stick to hold his camera up. Instead of bitching about it in the pet peeves section I asked him to put the thing down and he did. True story.
Really enjoyed the gig last night. Sound was great, vocally the band were perfect, and the guitars really cut through nicely, especially for the olympia, it was cracking. Setlist was spot on too, not too heavy on the latest album and lots of room for older stuff. The volume out of the crowd was something else too
From what I seen the support band were embarrassing, a total mismatch and looking at them made me think they just weren't ready for a gig of that size.
I was on the very top part of the olympia last night - the view isn't great but the sound last night was immense. Really powerful stuff altogether and as mentioned the roars from the crowd at times was something to behold. Top, top gig!
Still gutted I didn't get tickets for this, might take a trip somewhere to see them next time they're playing Europe!
Missed tickets for this (despite being online and waiting for them to go on sale) but catching them in London on Saturday. Super excited to see them again.

Wow, incredible story. How on earth do you manage to be such a complete legend?

Fair play i say. It's annoying as feck when you're behind some pleb with a camera up most/all of the show. I'd say 95% of it never gets watched again anyway. Good on yer Stenchy.
Cheers bro!
Cracking gig.A band at the top of their game.
I wasn't at the gig, no, not that has any relevance whatsoever. Just in relation to the Pet Peeve thread, and it shouldn't really have to be explained to an adult at this stage, peeves are by their nature, somewhat petty and trivial which I fully acknowledge. That's kind of the point of the thread. However, making up non-existant scenarios just to illustrate a point is fairly pathetic, which is what I suspect you are up to here, given that you probably didn't say anything to that lad at all, in the unlikely event you were at the gig in the first place.

Dude, I was quite clearly yanking your chain in the Pet Peeve thread. All I'm doing is getting a rise out of you and you take the bait every time, talking about having to explain to an adult. Do you really think I'm that thick?
And yes, I was at the gig. Row G, Seat 17 and I did say it to the lad in F 17, no made up scenario there.
Outstanding gig, great venue, sound and performance. Well worth waiting 27years for! Great setlist, new stuff is excellent and slotted in perfectly. DuVall is great, sounded excellent last night - they all did.
Yes, sonically speaking that was the best sound I've heard in that venue. Maybe Stone Temple Pilots in 2010 came close.
Inez seemed genuinely emotional at the end, he's posted a lot on instagram this week of getting his big break with Ozzy here in Dublin.
Jesus I can't remember the last time I witnessed such an awful excuse for a band, that opener was pathetic. Only sat through them cause I wanted to get up close and didn't want to loose my spot. Awful hipster female vocals mismatched with equally awful watered down smashing pumpkins riffs and solos. No one had even a hint of stage presence, the drummer was getting into it but he wasn't exactly playing anything remotely hard. Alice in Chains were great, Perfect set, perfect performances, flawless vocals especially from Duvall. Hope they don't take donkeys years to come back again.
I was late to the AIC table,Some of the footage doing the rounds looks great!,would love to have had hit this.
Great gig. One or 2 of the newer songs felt a bit lifeless but the rest of the set was excellent. DuVall is one cool dude
Cracking gig in Belfast last night. Fifth time seeing them and probably the best yet.
Not a fan of the Telegraph Building as a venue though, the sound could have been better
.
Good enough show, sound iffy enough at the start and no real buzz until they got 3/4 songs in. Dublin deffo looked like the better of the two shows.
Red Giant, It Ain't Like That and Nutshell all in a row totally killed the momentum of the show.
Dublin got We Die Young instead of It Ain't Like That, which would have easily got a better reception.
So Far Under is a much better song from Rainer Fog too, could have really made that trio of tracks a much better listen.
Was amazing to hear Heaven Beside You be in place of Your Decision though.
Telegraph Building is ok, kinda reminded me of some setup at a European fest where they'd stick all the black metal or hardcore bands.
Never touched the bar but seen every one on the Coors, were they pulling that stunt of 4 for £15 that they always do when they host a gig outside of the limelight?
