I thought there was a Godflesh thread but couldn't find it...
Upcoming boxset of all of the reunion era material plus remixes & unreleased tracks. Sounds good for you vinyl people:

That is a tasty boxset. I can't see myself buying this as I already have most of it separately. Godflesh rule! They have been on my "to see list" for a long time now
That'll be taxed to hell with VAT/Duty/etc, coming from the UK?

If it comes from the UK. The last few orders I put in on the JKB store (Jesu tees and records) were looked after by We Ship Vinyl and came from the Netherlands iirc. This is the same company again so I'm hoping it goes the same way. If it doesn't, it should only sting me for an extra €20-€22 quid (VAT and handling, no duty) which isn't too bad considering.
Edit: I bought it as ye may have figured from the rest of the post.
Never thought of that TBH. I have a Jesu T-shirt ordered from him, it's coming from Plastic Head & I think they're UK based too.

I got a Messiah shirt off Plastic Head too last month, luckily before the cut off changed, you'll likely get hit on that alright it looks like they shipped from the UK itself.
Well, cock and balls.
So annoying this customs charge bullshit. May stick to labels in Europe for shirts etc
Yeah, I forgot about it and had around €25 whacked onto a discogs order from the UK there. Thankfully it was still cheaper than any EU sellers with the same stuff, but definitely not something I'll forget to factor in again!
CD version on the way:
https://www.justinkbroadrick.com/collections/godflesh/products/godflesh-long-live-the-new-flesh-4cd-box-set-arec053-pre-order
I've already got the 2 albums and EP or I'd be all over this. As it is, I bought the download of the bonus material, but a separate CD release would be groovy.
Incidentally, I didn't get a customs charge on that T-shirt in the end.
They were unfucking real at Damnation a few weeks ago.

Saw them at the end of the 90's and can only say it was like a sledgehammer to the nads. Highly recommended... :abbath:
When is the last time they played here in Ireland? Mad to see them

They played Cork/Dublin in 2000,and definitely another time in Dublin after that?,01/02.They went on a hiatus/split not long after.
I cant recall have they played since they reformed.
They haven't played here since reforming.
H may take the finger out and book them so ;D
Repress on the way, for those who missed out:
https://www.justinkbroadrick.com/collections/godflesh/products/godflesh-long-live-the-new-flesh-4lp-box-set
I have the CD version of this. Haven't a clue what it costs or anything because someone bought it for me but it's a lovely little set as it is. Saw the vinyl set in the brother's house as well it looks great
CD repress on the way, preorders:
https://www.justinkbroadrick.com/collections/godflesh/products/godflesh-long-live-the-new-flesh-4cd-box-set-arec053-pre-order
€70 for a 4LP box set is pretty decent especially going by todays standards.
I've the CD's, very tempted with the vinyl although I doubt very much there'll be any left by pay day.
I've the vinyl here, they look great and are a good collector's item for the price but no major difference in the sound to the CD or digital the more I have them on, if anyone is curious.
Down to €18.99 on his website for a week, some vinyl reduced too:
https://www.justinkbroadrick.com/products/godflesh-long-live-the-new-flesh-4cd-box-set-arec053-pre-order
Jaysus that's for fuckin nothing. Absolute steal
Aye, and I'm tempted. I have the albums and EP, and I bought the download of the bonus material. I wouldn't mind having it physically though. Completion and all that. This time of the year though...
It's a lovely little set so it is. If I didn't have one I'd definitely go for it at that. Then again, I'm not unbiased
New dub EP, A World Lit Only By Dub:

Preordered the CD there, just listening to the first track now, it's fairly savage stuff.

Oh ho!!
I knew nothing of this
Just announced earlier today. Will go well with the 3 dub mixes on Long Live The New Flesh.
Buy from the UK site, the EU one has postage set at €15!
Just bought the download for now. Christmas, kids etc. Will have to wait till the new year for the CD but what a great surprise
Such a great surprise that I haven't even listened to it yet because I got wankered playing chess with a lad but now I have it to look forward to for tonight!!
Happy fuckin days
So I've listened to this a few times now. First impression is that life is going by like one of those flick animations because I can't believe it's ten years since the OG version. Second is that it's just brilliant. Third is that it's as good as any of the dub stuff they've had. Fourth is that it's a bit short but that can be a good thing as well and I realise it's not the 90s style 78:59 at all costs. Fifth is wondering what happened to the Us And Them Dub.
Happy out
Big fan myself, although I've never been into the dub stuff or remixes. Us And Them is the only album I can't get into. Just never clicked with me

I feel like this one could possibly change your mind about the dub stuff. There's a lot more guitar in it than the other ones
Ben Green's Vitriol side project is 'name your price' on Neurot's Bandcamp page at the moment, not sure how long for:

Finally got the AWLOBD CD in the post today, first one got lost so they sent a replacement (which was nice of them, they could have told me it was my problem). Downloaded it when I preordered so I've given it a few runs through but it's nice to actually have the disc itself for completion's sake.

Very strong return album
This is the dub remix one I mean, but yeah the album itself was decent.

Oh ya :)
Got it a few weeks back
Great variations on it
Must give it a spin again!
Just saw this in the Avalanchers FB group:
QuoteHeard from Justin today, he's given the okay to share some life changing news. Official statement to come...
JKB is recovering and regaining mobility from a serious abdominal surgery some three weeks ago. It addressed a significant hernia issue that had been developing and increasingly affecting live performance. Some may already have heard, or noticed the scaling down of live shows over the past months. The operation went ok, but this condition has resulted in chronic physical limitations that make intense physical activity and loud singing unsafe.
GODFLESH will no longer perform live. Last year's "in dub" in London was the final GODFLESH performance. This aligns with thoughts that had already been forming about eventually closing out GODFLESH, but the recent surgery simply accelerated that...
Mixing on the penultimate GODFLESH LP, "DECAY" is almost complete, aiming at early autumn release. Another, already written final LP will follow, which will be recorded toward the end of the year. Afterwards, GODFLESH will exist through releases of live/archival/dub/other rare material.
The next jesu LP titled "Still Life" is currently in demo form, with recording and mixing slated for spring, and release expected late 2026. jesu performances will continue as they don't require the physicality, and JKB will be easing back into live activity in the coming months of recovery
JKB is also excited to tell about developing a new solo project, exploring new forms of heavy, filthy electronics layered with guitars and voice. It will occasionally be presented live, and possibly with a drummer taking over rhythm.
Glad I saw them when I did a few years ago, but it's shite news all the same. At least there's more material to come, plus the live/archival stuff.
Never knew of this at all, awful to go through. I've seen em' quite a few times over the years including the most recent jaunt to these shores. Wish the fella the best!
Fuck!; I haven't seen him in the flesh in years; but in photos he always seems like one of those guys that hasn't changed much over the years!
Quote from: Paul keohane on March 04, 2026, 10:03:51 PMFin photos he always seems like one of those guys that hasn't changed much over the years!
He looks great for 56. Him and Bill Steer must be on the same program.
Godflesh for me are more of a live band. I love the earlier stuff but not crazy on the reunion material and have little interest in hearing the rare material coming out.
It's a shame I was just thinking about the last Godflesh show here in the Academy when I was at ND last week hoping they would come back over again soon.
Ah, man. This is shit. Glad I got to see them twice anyway and they were great both times.
Fuckin Downer. Thank God I got to see them a couple of times
Quote from: astfgyl on March 05, 2026, 01:14:37 PMFuckin Downer. Thank God I got to see them a couple of times
Yep, same.
Saw them on the US and Them tour in the late 90's in Eindhoven, and there in 2022 in The Opium.
They were absolutely savage both times.
Was at that gig in Opium and it was absolutely fantastic. Caught them in Limerick as well and they were just brilliant again. One of those ones like Swans where you'd just have to see them to get how heavy it hits.
At least we get 2 more albums and he's still making music. I'd go see Jesu as well if they were gigging
Another one for the Opium gig here, some show. It was so loud it hurt my feet.
Good that there's more to come, and I'm curious about the live/dub material. Not sure what rare material there is, they don't seem to hold much back. It's been a while since I got excited about Jesu material TBH.
I'd be well into the live/dub shit, Jesu I dip in and out.
Would've loved to have been at that live/dub show. Ear plugs in place of course, lol.
Caught them in the Opium a few years back and in Limerick as well. Had the pleasure of driving the lads from the train station to the gig that day  savage band, shame they are done live but given the surgery and everything it is understandable. At least the music itself from all the projects is still going.
Would also see Jesu live again in a heartbeat, saw them with Isis in the temple bar years ago and they were lethal.
Lol, this whole forum must've been at The Opium that night
Aye. Support band was decent enough as well, Sugarhorse I think they were called.
When is the last time Jesus played here? As said above I dip in and out with them. I like some stuff, other things I dont find that interesting. Same goes for the JK Fleah stuff. Seen him in the workman's club a few years back. It was pretty good now. Anyone else at that?

Both were brilliant!

I believe it was 2005, sadly wasn't at it. I see JK Flesh has some bandcamp stuff pay what you want.
