Surely the most obvious heavy outside of metal is the industrial stuff. Some of it is much heavier than metal but there is some awful shit to sift through to get to it

Hopping off Red House Painters here. Very miserable.

Was only familiar with Kozelek from the Jesu split stuff and an odd track here and there. Must explore further. Also must say this is not heavy.

Probably my favourite drum n bass producer and he is heavy as fuck.

Check out this album and force of nature.

Nice. In a similar vein, but heavy in more of a headfuck kinda way:

That Audio's pretty decent, was just listening to some Roni Size the other day, brought me back to that drum & bass club on the quays in Dublin in the late '90s. Can't remember the name, it was underground if memory serves. Grand to chill there, hidden by the smoke machine.

Best mix from the 90s I've ever heard is ed rush and optical. These guys pretty much drew the blueprint for modern Neuro and Jumpup.

While we're recommending Drum and Bass, this duo are/were great:

Seen them a few years ago. They were at their peak in 2016.
