Ortega fought in the Kron Gracie way previously: boxing and jiu jitsu..stand and trade and see if you can go to ground. It's the way the Diaz brothers fight and it saw him took an awful beating from the equally tough and impressive Max Holloway in his previous fight. It's obvious he has gotten out of that way of thinking. His distancing and kicks were so smooth and high level last night, he must have spent all this time off working 8 hours a day on a new style. Korean Zombie looked really inpressive too. The level these lads are at is insane in terms of technique. Where other fighters rely on their engine and being double hard bastards, these lads are all of these things but with incredible technique at the base of it all. But Ortega has learnt that he can't spend all that time in the pocket taking punishment..fuck that. His stance has widened. He's watched what the great champions like GSP, Machida, Jones, McGregor could do with distancing and integrated it into his game. Exciting stuff.

Haven't seen the fight but looking forward to watching it in a while to see the improvements he's made, it's a good thing he's not stubborn like the Diaz Bro's, always thought they could have had way better careers had they not been so stubborn about what they think constitutes as 'real fighting'.

Yep the real fighting thing is a mug's game. They just end up smashed to pieces. Kron Gracie is an unreal Jiu Jitus player and yet he's there slugging it out like a Diaz brother. Total waste.

Next Saturday!!!!! Who wins?

I have a feeling Gaethje pulls off the upset, I think he's gonna come out and hammer him with leg kicks.

Im curious to see will Gaethje use his wrestling for this match up as Khabbib wont stand and trade.
Khabib win.

I'd love to see Gaethje win. Khabib some force of nature in fairness though I still think he caught an uninterested and completely out of sorts(drugs, drink, partying, rubbish camp) McGregor at the perfect time and apart from that I don't see anyone else he's beaten, apart from Rafael Dos AƱos, of a level that would allow him to be called a GOAT in any way. GOATs are Jones and GSP who fought the top guys numerous times and beat them. Let's see, he's still an amazing fighter no doubt but I'd love to see someone realy have a go.

It really feels like despite the usual hyping this match as Khabib's must dangerous challenge yet etc that the UFC are looking past Gaethje completely.
All they see is the GSP mega match. I'd love to see it but  having said that I really want to see Khabib knocked out cold. The comeback from that for his next fight would be very interesting.

A couple of weeks ago on the DC/Helwani show DC was going on about another  Nurmagomedov family member that's just signed with Belator. Apparently he is an absolute savage as well .

Looking forward to tonights matches, main event tonight and Whittaker v Cannonier should be a great scrap also.

It's 30 euro to watch it!

Absolute beast, deserves to be number one pound for pound. I even feel Tony Ferg would be no match for him either. He makes people look so average and he's proven it time and time again. Did think he'd go for 30-0 but it makes sense considering what's happened personally for him....what a GOAT.

Made it look easy, shame he's calling time but understandable.

Is that division all that good though? Poirier beat Gaethje, so I couldn't in all honesty see Gaethje winning. He can't be a GOAT if he doesn't go up weights, find greater challenges. He never fought the toughest guy in his division Ferguson. GSP, BJ Penn, plenty guys sought out greater challenges. He also only won the belt 3 fights ago. Is that enough for GOAT status? Jon Jones defended the belt around 10 times, winning it a couple and vacating it. He's never been beaten.

He's amazing fighter but I think there's a bit of a hype machine around him. Would love to see the GSP fight.

He looked so fast . Gaethje looked exhausted after the first round. It really shows the gap between Khabib and the rest of them.
As much as I'd like to see him again I really don't think he is the sort to go back on his word. No more GSP either.
