Russia were f**king suicidal going into Ukraine, hollowing out their demographics for what exactly? Drones have ensured stalemate by attrition. Both sides experiencing heavy losses without any territorial gains. Hard to see the endgame. Same goes for Iran. Saudis being hit by the Houthis. Going to be a bad Winter ahead if all this continues and I don't see why it wouldn't continue. Hopefully they don't figure out a few drones would disrupt Suez Canal massively too. Also hard to see how any country stops drone warfare.

Absolutely agree that it was an extremely poor decision from Russia to invade Ukraine from any way I look at it. There were provocations involving the US and NATO but that still doesn't make it a good idea in the slightest.

Same with the US and Iran in terms of how shoddy a decision that was.

Saudis vs Houthis is probably more of the same although I'm not familiar with what got all that one going at all.

Another aspect all three have in common is how the consequences of them all have the EU up shit creek and it has only itself to blame for their own energy shortcomings with Germany closing nuclear plants and the UK giving up on the oil, along with sanctions on Russian oil and gas fucking things up on that side with the straits of Hormuz and now the Saudi thing.

Shit stuff altogether

As for Ireland..... Well I dunno if we were ever going to be doing well really because we have none of those things for ourselves.

In a leaked document, the Irish Presidency proposes to EU Member States that the interest of OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta and SpaceX to make profits should take precedence over the fundamental right to data protection. Use of personal data "in the context of AI" should automatically be lawful. There seems to be wide informal agreement by many Member States. In particular, Big Tech would be able to use all personal data collected over the past decades with virtually no restrictions, as long as this happens "in the context" of AI.
