Will today be the day that Jeff Hendrick justifies his place...

Well that was as depressing as usual. Hard to enjoy the endeavour of a team allergic to scoring.

I know it's a results based business but in fairness they're playing a bit of ball. Playing with enthusiasm at least. Hendrick offers very little though.

I see Ray Clemence died. Even I remember him playing for Spurs at the end of his career. His list of honours with Liverpool alone is astonishing:

'The personal trophy tally when he left Liverpool was five titles, three European Cups, two Uefa Cups, the FA Cup and the League Cup over 665 first-team appearances'.

He won an FA cup and Uefa cup with Spurs aswell.

Some of the passing out from the back was a massive improvement on the kick and rush stuff we have previously seen but we badly need more in attack. Sure once we drop a few more levels down in the nations league we can develop the new philosophy a bit more, and I'm not even taking the piss saying that it's what will have to happen if this road is to be taken.

Irish team in absolute dire straits, I don't have much hope against Bulgaria tonight tbh.

They've had shit luck in the squad so it's hard to really assess their progress in a fair manner.

And yet, despite the likelihood of the hope being a killer again, I think the tide will turn and we'll get 2 goals tonight. And no, I haven't started drinking early.

I'm keeping the faith for now.

Also, it's not that early:)

Ah jaysus another blank. I didn't get the chance to watch it but I guess I missed nothing

Grim is the word. Anyone feel like going back to kick and rush yet? Just joking but something badly needs to be done about scoring goals.

Well I for one want to see him given time. The quality of play is light years ahead of what is was under previous managers. We need to hope and pray the Parrot kicks on. We have enough in defence and attack to have a decent enough team. We just need some strikers.

I agree, he's getting them playing decent football for the first time in the guts of 20 years. Lack of a proper finish and pure rotten luck are contributing to the poor results. His record is putrid looking, but he deserves at least one full qualifying campaign with the bulk of his best personnel available before he judgement.
