The new drummer seems beastly. I figured these were songs from one of their many albums I'm not overly familiar with, but they're actually from a recent EP.

To me, it seems preferable to a lot of their recent stuff.

Drummer is great and the tune is fairly grand for the most part but every time I hear that double guitar lead thing I run a mile. I suppose they'd just be Chimaira without it though

I'd take Chimaira over them any day of the week to be honest, they just reek of teen angst to me. Chimaira had a bit of oomph to them at least, The Impossility Of Reason is a decent enough album.

I bought it myself as it happens based off one song off it and it was grand.  It was some sort of bonus disc version.  Dunno how it holds up now.  She got me that Lamb of God album, Ashes of the Wake was it?  It was very wake anyway.

Nothing Remains is a banger of a tune. I was going to buy tickets to see Chimaira back in the early 10s, then I read that everyone had quit except for the vocalist.

They're back together now, doing some very limited shows. It doesn't sound like they're able to commit to anything full time.
