Got a ticket last minute, delighted to have gone. Never been mad about KL on record, but really enjoyed it live and fuck me they've a rabid fanbase. The heat yesterday was chronic, I was in the balcony and was sopping leaving, can only imagine what it was like on the floor.

Only caught the tail end of Worn Out who seemed decent and I thought The Bucket were savage.

Only heard a bit of Knocked Loose yesterday. To say I'm disappointed in you Squigz doesnt cut it.

I don't get modern 'hardcore punk' at all, a lot of it seems to have more in common with Slipknot than Black Flag.

I'm sure there's great stuff there if you scratch the surface but that breakdown mongo shit is not it.

I think hardcore itself its own genre at this point compared to hardcore punk. Mainly only like the later and is quite annoying trying to determine what someone's into when they say theyre into either hardore or punk. As its rarely the stuff i wanna discuss!

I lone hardcore. It seems to have been broken up into quite a few sub genres , most of which I don't fully differentiate between.

I'd put Knocked Loose into the "shit" category.

Knocked Loose is Hardcore for people who don't really like Hardcore just like Behemoth is to death metal. Right up there with the current Scowl expect Scowl is slightly more respectable because they started out half decent. If I was to imagine what an AI hardcore band sounded like it would be Knocked Loose every aspect of it comes across as manufactured.


All the genre bollox is the same as BM and DM. Bestial Black Metal, War Metal, Blackened Death Metal, Raw Black Metal. Its either BM or DM and Hardcore is Hardcore. I would have given them a chance live at Metallica had they have been on at a reasonable time. One thing I will give Knocked Loose is they seem to totally avoid politics which is something a lot of other Hardcore bands should be doing.
