It's been a long time for me, is it still a thing or have I just gotten to the 'respectable middle-aged man' stage where I'm not seen as a worry? Because I'll have to go and march in the sea if that's the case.

I think maybe at Dave Chappelle in the 3 Arena a few years ago, but I might have made that up.
Ha, funny you mention that - I went to Sumac in London about two weeks ago in Dingwalls (Which is maybe the size of Opium roughly), and everyone got a full pat down on the way in that bordered on being groped. Absolutely bizarre.

Quote from: ldj on April 20, 2026, 12:39:16 PMWas at Tori Amos at the Bord Gais last night, no alcohol allowed in the auditorium, that will go down well with the metallers...

How is she live these days? Saw her in Vicar Street (coincidentally where I've seen Opeth twice) in 2005 and she was amazing. Unreal stage presence.
It was good, I've never seen her before, just from videos I'd say it's a bit more subdued than she was in the past but she is getting older to be fair.

At the venue they were checking bags going in but there were no patdowns, the naggin might be a goer.

No supports announced for this yet which is strange too.

3 Arena seem to give everybody a good pat down anytime I've been there.

Need to start working this into google reviews for venues: "Lovely pat-down, thorough with just the right amount of gropiness"

Seems like it's only the Italian and London dates that have support confirmed so far

Was hoping for Blood Incantation, but it looks like the shows they're supporting are the last of their summer run in Europe
