Alex and Geddy are going back out with a new drummer (Anika Nilles, played with Jeff Beck) and adding a keyboard player. I suppose it was inevitable but how will it sound?  I was never much of a fan, only giving them a proper go lately but Peart was truly irreplacable

Same here, not a huge fan, but I see no issue with it at all. Their hearts are very clearly in the right place, they're clearly excited about it from that video. She's a great drummer too.

The two of them have always said they would have been happy to tour longer but Peart was the one against it, so this was probably inevitable

Surprised by that but deadly. She's an unreal drummer. The gig here in whatever year it was was unbelievable.

Happy for them but Geddy's voice was shot on the last tour 10 years ago.

Yeah as a big fan I'm cool with them doing this, but I agree with ze Burggermeister about Geddy's voice.

If they land in Dublin I'd still go to it in fairness. Seeing them at the O2 in 2011 is one of my favourite gigs (Moving Pictures in its entirety!!!)

Was lucky to see Rush in 2011 with Peart on drums.
What a great honour for her,Hopefully some European dates.

Watched a few videos from the first show, fucking class. Geddy has been working with a vocal coach, allegedly, and his voice sounded a lot better than it has been in years.

The scrutiny on Anika is fucking mental, including one lad videoing just her for the whole show 😂 The Rushcon people did a live stream of the whole thing with several Lampards complaining the she didn't do x fill or y ride pattern exactly the same. She kicked ass and took names, to my ears, and started getting huge cheers later in the set when nailing some of the signature fills. Delighted.

That is indeed fucking class.

The chuds would never be happy with who they brought it, but she nailed it, so fuck those guys.

Rush are close to being my favourite band ever, and I will admit to being a wee bit sceptical of the whole thing at first. But it's those two lads' life's work, they've found someone highly capable to stand in for Peart, Geddy does sound better than he has in a very long time, their own playing is still top notch, and the tributes to Peart were touching.

It feels like a celebration of their music and his life, so power to all involved.

They sound class, Anika is an amazing drummer. Great to hear em' on top form.

Yeah! Big shoes to fill but she nailed it to my eyes and ears.
