PYREXIA (NYC) – Live in Dublin
August 19 | Lost Lane | Doors: 7PM
1-2 Adam Court, Grafton St
Part of the "Wrath Over Europe Tour 2025", New York's brutal death metal pioneers PYREXIA are set to unleash chaos in Dublin for the very first time.
With a legacy dating back to the early '90s, Pyrexia helped define the brutal death metal sound — sharing the stage and scene with titans like Suffocation and Internal Bleeding. Known for their crushing riffs, guttural vocals and relentless energy, their live shows are pure violence and intensity.
SUPPORTING ACTS:
KAKHOTANASY (🇨🇭) – Technical death metal from Switzerland
WORSHIP MURDER (🇬🇧) – Filthy, dark death metal from Glasgow's underground
Tickets Available now at: diabloproduction.com

Distortion are doing the Belfast show.

Very interested in this.

The likes of Pyrexia and Internal bleeding, I only ever heard a  song or two on  comps etc back in the day. They seem like bands I might have loved in my teens; but I never really explored further.

Edit : did Internal Bleeding have a 7" ep back in the 90s that everyone seemed to have?

I had an Internal Bleeding 7" back in the day, Invocation Of Evil I think it was called. It was OK, that's about it. Never had any further interest.

Much as I don't like slam death or whatever its called, I've a soft spot for the first album, "Sermon of Mockery"- I know Pyrexia were  ex Suffocation but I actually prefer thsg album to "Effigy"

Pretty cool band, I haven't listened to them properly in years though. Will hit this!

That was so good. First time I've ever seen the band minus the drummer get into the crowd and play an entire song. Really nice guys as well.

exactly, you can tell they are genuine dudes. I was one of the first people there, was looking at the merch when Chris from Pyrexia walks over shakes my hand and thanks me for coming down on a Tuesday night. What a gent, and their set/performance was fantastic. Got a signed vinyl at thee end. Great gig, fair play the this promoter getting them over, never thought I'd see them live!

The band posted earlier that 189 tickets were sold which is pretty good for a band like this especially on a Tuesday. Hopefully Diablo made a bit of money from the show. I asked Ron about Malignancy playing in Ireland and he said 'you'll have to get the promoters in Ireland to bring us over'

Very enjoyable gig but no chance there were 189 there. Reckon it was lucky to be even half of that!

What an amazing show we need more of that stuff here.

Mixture of hardcore and metal heads in the pit too always a controversial crossover.

Well I heard there were 120 presales and 80 for Belfast, maybe people bought tickets and didnt show up.

hmmm, there were enough there that it didn't seem like a poorly attended show. Great energy, had a laugh watching the same chap stage diving. And the bassist from Pyrexia crowd surfing still playing ha ha ha
