As a general rule I hate bands that wear masks, what's the fucking point?

Middle aged men with day jobs in something like the financial sector who simply can't be unmasked unless they make the big time because otherwise it's the everyday reputation at stake if it doesn't go well

Who are that fucking new band with the masks that don't do interviews etc. Can't think of the name for the life of me but everything about them really annoys me and I've only heard like half of one song if I even got that far. Think they're headlining download this year actually but fuck I read one tiny article about them once and the phone gave two weeks trying to feed me more. Think they've a very crap looking logo as well iirc.

Regarding Bush, who started the thread: they were neither good enough to be good nor shit enough to be shit. Certainly not as offensive to me as they seem to be to others. Sorta Nickleback level tripe

Linkin Park played went through the set and kept the heads down.
The only comment I remember was Chester B saying this next one is for the real Linkin Park fans.
I do remember the fella with the decks doing a "bring it" type hand gesture.
The crowd brought it in spades for him.

The year before Lost Prophets got plenty of abuse , can"t remember if there was stuff flying at them though.
Corey Taylor admonished the crowd during the Slipknot set and Hetfeld said kudos to them for playing on and it was the crowds choice if they didn't like them or something.
If only they knew what they were defending!

I was at that Metallica show as well it was actually my first ever gig. A long time ago but I don't remember it being that bad compared to some other stuff I have seen over the years. I do remember some bands at Download in 06 getting treated a lot worse like Guns N Roses. Every two seconds bottles of piss were landing on the stage while they played.

Even though Metallica are sell outs putting Linkin Park on tour with them was a bad idea. I wonder how they were treated at the other shows on that tour.

I'm not sure if there's such thing as riding the cottails of someone's death but yer man from Linkin Park did it to Chris Cornell, nearly can't read or talk about Soungarden anywhere anymore without someone bringing them up as if they're anywhere in the same league, he could have waited a year at least.

Hetfield was bottled when he asked if anyone picked up St Anger. If anyone was shit that day it was Metallica, they've since tightened up somewhat - I've seen a few better performances since but there were mistakes all over the shop, Lars was abysmal and Hammett wasn't too far behind. The hills have eyes crowd lapped it up though. Some amount of troglodytes at that.

We heard from a mate who was watching the live video feed from the trial, what he done was vile, distressing and absolutely cruel.

12 years old. She'd received a safeguarding lesson in primary school, realised that was what was happening to her, and went straight to the police as advised.

It happened on more than one occasion sadly.


I'm a bit confused... the first statement seems to imply that he did something horrible, but the second statement seems to imply that she realised she was being groomed and got away before anything happened?
