Ah I remember when this came out, you think the first part of the song is bad :-[

Also..Why is there three 'Altus Belfast' YouTube accounts?!

And to be fair when they first landed on MI I remember there was some genuine guidance especially in terms of the vocals but the Leather lad was incredibly stubborn and combative

I think that's why the song got more stick was because of his antics

Did a gig with them in Belfast years ago, the singer was some lad, too, wanted everybody cleared out of backstage so he could meditate and get into character or whatever his fucking problem was. He came out in full panda get-up with the rest of the lads looking like they had just finished a shift in Subway. Bad times.

They played downstairs at the Siege one time. I went down just to get a look at Mike because he was such a character on here

Before the set, the singer had some cloak on and was sitting on the stage cross legged with his hood up, meditating with some incense.
I was coming up on a yoke and it seemed like they were taking forever to get set up, so I got bored and left without ever hearing a note 🤷

Is this him playing guitar on the right?

Yeah that's him. I remember the singer alright - like he was in portal or something then the other boys in their down machine head nirvana tees

Did the entire line-up of Altus, apart from Mike, change over time? Sleeve wasn't in the line-up when they did that "We all like Metallica" behind the music video thing, for example.

Think it may have just been the singer that changed?

Was Skott Fury part of that band too, or am I getting mixed up with another mad Nordy band? Seemed to be loads of them around that time

There was definitely an article in the Telegraph - I remember the picture.

QuoteI was telling the wife last night about the time he met "you" in Belfast to kick your ass, and it was Fart all along

Desperately hoping there's more detail to this one.

12 years old. She'd received a safeguarding lesson in primary school, realised that was what was happening to her, and went straight to the police as advised.

Fucking depressing that kids have to be taught lessons like that in primary school, but this is the world we live in.

Depressing is right, but it's vital.

When I was 6 or 7 in Primary School in London, we were taught some of this stuff and what to look out for. I remember being shown hypothetical scenarios involving family and adults in positions of power/responsibility and how to recognise the behaviour and report it. My parents felt it was a bit much at the time, but if it can help protect vulnerable people then it's invaluable.
