I've only had that with outdoor gigs myself thank god. Is it a thing as well that bands start off a bit quiet and crank it up as they go?

Wow that was fast, I listened to Loveless yesterday, like when it came out in 91 it doesn't knock my socks off. Some lads I know love it so I'm probably off on this one.

Kind of can't believe this is actually happening, mad excited for it. Absolutely no way I'll be evaluating this objectively, they'll have to severely drop the ball for me to not enjoy it

Should be loud anyway. They were always loud but Colm Ó'Cíosóig was quoted during the week from a letter to The Irish Times complaining about Sabbath being too quiet in the 3 Arena.

There's a pop-up merch shop in the Grand Social between 12 and 5 tomorrow, by the way.

Looking forward to seeing them

Where's good for a pint beforehand?

Getting the aircoach up

Apparently they played a 'secret' gig in the National Stadium during the week, under the name Isn't Anything. That would have been a good one.

Mate of mine managed to nab a ticket for that: "It was a great event to attend. Amazing to see them and what was essentially a glorified practice session!  A few false starts and even a bit of chit chat between them and the crowd.

'We love you kevin'

'You won't after this'"

Good man. I'd love to have gone to this but was broke when tickets came out. Ah well, I might see them in 2058.

Great gig

I was a bit worried that the sound would be fairly crap, but was very happy with it

I was sitting next to a fella from Manchester who saw them there in 86
And a fella from the US on the other side

I'd say a fair few people flew in for it
