Honestly barely listened to a note of Overkill in me life, but that was pretty fucking cool. What's their go-to album?

Years  of Decay or Horrorscope. Also have a soft spot for Taking Over and Under The Influence. For a heavy slow, heavy, floor shattering, track try Skullkrusher although it's more an exception rather than a rule in the Overkill canon
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

The best overkill is Feel the Fire!

Yeah, as above, Years of Decay and Horrorscope are the peak but the first 5 albums are all quality, for me. After that, you don't really need to hear another note, to be honest.

Weirdly I've been listening to YOD all morning, fucking great record.

White Devil Armory is as good as any of the classic albums.

I'm alive!!!!

Overkill have been on a run of very solid, if unspectacular, albums since probably The Electric Age

There's nothing wrong with any of them, but if you've heard one or two you don't need to hear any others

I'm another one to completely ignore Overkill!,I better fix that!

Never got into them at all but absolutely can't argue with the bit in question. Back in the mental drawer good luck and thanks.

Usually when I say something like that though I end up extolling the virtues of it soon after

What happens between 10:19 and 10:55 in this. Particularly in the bits where the guitars drop out.

Arguably one of the most ridiciulous moments in metal, but I fucking love it.

The only album of theirs I ever really listened to as I got it back when it came out and started pivoting to death metal pretty sharpish after that. Still love it, still no interest in investigating anymore by them.

Horrorscope is great IMO. Think they have some great moments here and there. The Electric Age was cool I thought?

The breakdown at 5:10 in this Gorefest tune always got me. Still remember when I heard it first and audibly gasped ha ha

Overkill are like the Motorhead of Thrash!
The classics are, well... classics!
Everything after is still great, but rather interchangeable.
And yes! All their most recent few albums have been killer.

Ironbound is a ripper of an album as well, the releases after are good but they haven't topped it.
