Hi everyone,

My name is Kayla, and I'm a popular music lecturer and researcher based at DkIT. I'm working on a project called 'Cassette Tape Practices in the 21st Century', and a friend suggested there may be cassette collectors and artists hanging out in this forum. I'm looking to interview:
- Collectors/fans who have purchased at least one cassette in the past two years
- Artists who have released music on cassette in the last ten years

If either of those apply to you and you're potentially interested or have questions, please get in touch! You're welcome to contact me here or on my work email (available via the link below).

Here's a bit more about me and the research I do: https://bit.ly/4gBwDQc

Yes I've done some of those things and can answer a few questions but first can you help me out with a bit more information? You refer on your academic website to a study you done where-

"The paintings, according to the
artist's statement, depicted various Northern Ireland political figures in
the act of sex, at the moment of orgasm. The paintings were not
pornographic; the figures were depicted alone and from the collarbones up"

Strictly in the interest of artistic appreciation but would you have the one of Arlene Foster?

Haha, that's a great question! Yes, there was definitely one of Arlene Foster, but sadly I don't have images of any of the paintings. After the event, I spent a ton of time trying to track down the artist's name or the paintings themselves (both right after the event when I was writing up notes, and again when I was working on the article). I contacted the event organizer, but they didn't have the details either. Sorry I don't have more information, it was a brilliant series!
