Just got around to giving King Parrot a listen, fucking awful stuff. Suppose it'll give time for a few extra pub pints without paying 3 Arena prices

Managed to leave it to the last minute due to only having moderate interest, but I got a ticket. I'm sure for most of us they were a gateway band to the real heavy stuff. I must dust off the aul cds and dvd so ha ha

We parked in one beside the Grand Canal Theatre for Maiden, about a 10 min. walk from the 3 Arena:

Pre book it and give yourself plenty of time, we had to wait a few mins. for a spot to open but it's handy enough.

Avoid anything that involves the Luas after. It'll be rammed.

I think Power Metal is fairly widely enjoyed but I like this too:

The first three are good craic. Shameless theft (Kiss/Van Halen/Ratt/ZZ Top)all over the place but they were only young lads, but they definitely had something.

Power Metal is great though.

Power Metal is deadly though.

Watched one of those live online performances a few years ago of Phil and the illegals doing Pantera songs they had King Parrot as support. The stuff they played at that sounded good and so did the little bits I have heard since then. Reminded me a bit of Birdflesh. Power Trip on the other hand sounded awful when I checked them out a few years ago.

First 3 for me are shite but Power Metal is great especially Over and Out.

Heard the old ones over the years. They're not bad. The one before CFH I think I remember liking a lot
