Hopefully by old fan favourites he means the first few albums and not Sons of Northern Darkness. If the setlist is good then this could be great in the Academy. Tickets price is fairly decent as well.
I suspect it'll be songs on which he has a writing credit. This might be few, most, or all - dunno off the top of my head. So if your favourite ditty was solely credited to Demonaz, chances are it won't be played.

I could be way off on this, but it seems to be the setup for Dave Vincent's I Am Morbid. They play many of the Morbid Angel classics, but not ones he doesn't have a credit in.

I see Abbath now seems to have been somewhat renamed to his 'full' stage name of Abbath Doom Occulta. Strange.

Edit: just had a peep and it seems Abbath is credited on nearly everything so should be a good set list.

Once you we get plenty from
The first 5 albums I'll
Be happy but I know I will have to suffer through Tyrants and the like.

That is from the old Osmose DVD they use to give out free with orders. It has some Blasphemy songs on it also with Ace on vocals and some Angelcorpse songs from a 1998 tour.

I think he mainly plays stuff from SOND live. He'll surely throw some early stuff in though

Elitism 101 - you're supposed to love those early records and bemoan the likes of At The Heart of Winter for its commercial qualities and the fact you can hear what's going on.

At The Heart Of Wimter doesn't sound great to be honest.
It's like it was made overly loud or something. Great songs.
Northern Darkness is brilliant bit so is Battles.

Pure Holocaust and Sons would be my most listened to.

ATHOW is probably least listened to but the title track intro is incredible.

ATHOW is great it is after that when things turned to shit they did their Heartwork and Swansong albums followed by the dismal reunion album. But at least the last two albums after Abbath left were back on track again.

There only seems to be a maximum of five Immortal songs in his recent setlists? I have his first solo one on LP and liked it. Might still go.
