Picked up a copy of this while on Holidays last week and have been obsessing over it. An old Czech band, such a dark, gloomy, weird album. Based in gothy ppost punk that sounds like a slowed down Cure/Christian Death/Joy Division, but with hints of stuff like Art Zoyd or Univers Zero in terms of composition and mood. Not for everyone but I think it's fucking fantastic. Sandwiched between Unholy and Neurosis last night and fit righ in even though it's not metal or anything at all like metal

Threw this on and immediately was reminded of Play The Goddamned Part by NIN on Bad Witch.

Obviously coming from two different places but Reznor has been known to lift an idea or two.

Next track kicks in then and I'm thinking of Disco Volante.

Very interesting and bleak sounding must give the whole thing a shot later or maybe I'll lash it on while I'm playing snooker it sounds like it'll go well with a couple of frames

Up next Eloy - Ocean, one of my favourite prog albums.

Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas

Led here by Garlands. I prefer Garlands' darker vibe (and that bass player), but HoLV might be the better album...

That popped up somewhere yesterday. Wasn't blown away by the clip I heard but will give it a lash.

Lush: Spooky

Shoegaze is great for this time of year, and weather like today's.

forgot to turn the work alarm off this morning so I've been hiding in bed listening to these:

Ghost Dubs - Oblique
Civilistjavel! - Alvgang

have the Lustmord/Lombardo on now

Cool artwork. Interesting description. I'll check it out :)

Edit. It sounds like it inspired Ved Buens Ende.
