Had Geogaddi on this morning, also still lethal.

I have seen this band name tons of times but never listened to it, must stick it on this evening.

BOC - Geogaddi

Darker & gloomier than MHTRTC

It's a beast of an album

Possibly my favourite by them.
If it had ROYGBIV, without a doubt! :)

I can't stop listening to these guys for the last few weeks.
Angine De Poitrine - some odd music, but highly addictive.

Hail the triangle. I'm obsessed with the cunts.

I think it is my favourite too but Tomorrow's Harvest is pretty close lately.  Savage anyway.

Quote from: astfgyl on April 17, 2026, 12:47:44 AMNine Inch Noize live album is doing the trick nicely here. More electro style takes on NIN tunes mostly from the recent tour.
Couple of runs of this now and it is great.  No use for the version of Closer on it but everything else is class anyway, nothing wrong with that version either it just doesn't do anything particularly interesting considering the wealth of other Closer remixes out there that are unreal.  "Me, I'm Not" is better than the original.

Yeah have had their albums on a ton of times now.  Can't fault it at all.

James Holden - "Imagine this is a high dimensional space of all possibilities"

Really deadly electronic stuff.  Was shown this a few years back, played it to death, it still goes on now every few weeks when I think of it, usually while working or doing something because it doesn't demand a heap of you but is never boring.  Had it on the headphones last night, usually it's on speakers so it was good to hear all the smaller details in it, just perfectly layered.

A fella on paper I should like

He played with Wacław Zimpel last October as part of the Guinness Jazz Fest (??!!)

He was sh*t

Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Rust Never Sleeps

A great live/studio album

"It's better to burn out than fade away"

Thelonious Monk - Live In Paris 1964

Monk hits hard on this; as does his band

Great stuff

New album by Stuck - "Optimizer"

New album by Iguana Death Cult - "Guns Out"

Both are cracking - particularily the IDC. I don't think the Stuck record reaches the dizzy heights of their last one, "Freak Frequency" but it is still very, very good and I have only given it a few spins so far. The IDC record offer far more immediate gratification.

Ah jaysus  I always enjoy this on record but I suppose anything like this can be hit or miss live.

New Sun Kil Moon album out today. Looking forward to giving it a listen later.

Oh nice, will def give that a listen!

Tricky: Maxinquaye

Always the poor relation of Massive Attack and Portishead, still a decent enough album. Must be the first time I've listened to it this century.
