This guy is an American cousin of some kind of mine, and he toured here last year. I had no idea, but my dad knows his American side of the family well so went to see him and brought back a copy of this on vinyl.

I just remembered to give it a spin for the first time this evening and I'm rightly impressed. Chill folk, with gorgeous production and full band arrangements, and enough twists and influences to keep it interesting, doesn't fall into the trap of some folk in similar styles. This'll be a repeater for sure.

My first foray into the early stuff and it's unrecognisable as the same band - which, I suppose, it isn't as there was a different line-up - with a completely different sound. All psychedelic garage rock and post-punk. It's only OK TBH, I shall press on.
