New band for me and stumbled across randomly. Been on constant spin today. Really enjoying it

This is really cool, hearing a bit of Circle in there

Absolutely love the last album by these and hadn't seen this. Remembered last night that they were due to play here but turns out it was back in October  Swing and a miss.
I was at the first night, they were class.

Class. Went down a rabbit hole of their performances after that Tiny Desk. Def didn't think I'd missed them by months

The drummer Valentina is one of the best around. Everything they do is class but Holy Tongue is one of my favourites. Heavy dubby experimental stuff.

Marillion's first four. AKA, "no Fish = no Marillion" for me.

Steve Rothery really is one of the most underrated guitar players. Liquid gold.

Fugazi: 13 Songs

This is mighty.

Minor Threat discography

So, so good. Every bit as good as Fugazi.

Black Flag - My War

Interesting to hear how side 2 of this caused such an uproar by going slow. It was hardcore punk's 'Dylan goes electric' moment. Was also a huge influence on grunge. Great album overall in either case, though I think I still prefer Damaged.

Best Black Flag IMO is:

'The First Four Years' (SST comp)

All the early 45 singles pre Rollins

'Everything Went Black' (SST comp)

Again, more pre Rollins era recordings with concert promo spots mixed in .

Both essential.

Eoin Dillon- The Third Twin. I've been spinning this the past few days in the car (along with the Funeral CD). I've had the CD since 2005 but I only postscript to it a few times when I picked it up so bar a couple of familiar melodies it feels new to me. Very enjoyable bit of trad.

Gyvata: Saulala - Lithuanian neofolk, enjoyable enough.

Landless: Lúireach - Dublin- based, female vocal-led folk produced by John Murphy, very good indeed.

Maria Somerville: Luster - Shoegaze from Connemara, decent.

Fugazi - Red Medicine

Just from the discussion on here. Absolutely awesome.

Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies

I'd never really spent much time with this but have been listening to it a bit more lately. It's great, as is everything else they've done.

Fiona Apple - Fetch the Bolt Cutters

I remember this album coming out a few years ago and getting rave reviews, it is fantastic have to say, for fans of Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, Kate Bush etc.

Minor Threat: Complete Discography

No, this isn't very good at all. A few tracks toward the end show the promise that Fugazi fulfilled but... maybe it's just not for me.

Ah I love Minor Threat, would take them over Fugazi for sure.

Cast - All Change
The Who - Sell Out
King Crimson - Discipline

Would take Minor Threat over Fugazi, no question. Like the odd Fugazi song but that's about it.
