I wouldn't use the response on here to judge peoples excitement about shows. Look at the Sepultura trend. Sold out Academy and the thread has only just reached the second page.

I didn't realize this Nile show was in Temple Bar. I can't remember the last time I was in that venue.

Nile and Krisiun were great as always. The new Nile front man is good and really good at getting the crowd going. Was great hearing Kafir and black seeds live.

Surprised at the numbers alright, venue seemed full but just short of being rammed, not bad considering there's so much on at the minute.

Krisiun are always great, couple of oldies missing from the set but entertaining none the less.

Hadn't seen Nile in an age, Sanders has surrounded himself with kids but Christ they can play, serious musicians.

I did think to myself that Sanders must be a mustaine type, don't think they've had the same lineup between any instances of seeing them.

Anyone see the fracas down the front? Someone was acting the plonker and got a dig but the security (two young lads) spent forever chatting to all parties instead of ejecting someone. After about fifteen minutes of remonstrating and trying to continue the digging match they decided to fuck all three individuals out. Bizarre.

I was standing close to that carry on, I don't know why they let it go on for so long. One of them (guys bickering not the security) seemed to be either close to crying or actually crying at one point too which made the whole thing even weirder than it was up until that point. When I was leaving they were talking/continuing to bicker outside the venue, the guy I just mentioned was saying to the other one that he wasn't trying to punch him so I guess that's what kicked it off.

I have the head screwed on now this morning, the lad that was nearly crying was punched. He had knocked into a Brazilian lad at the barrier, so there was a bit of pushing shoving & posturing between the pair of them. When the bouncers intervened the Brazilian chap threw a cheap punch, from where I was standing it seemed like there was no power in it. At that point I think the bouncers were trying to be sound i.e. you go over there, you go over here - separate!

But that's when it got nuts, as you say, the lad that was hit was nearly crying - whining away to the bouncers who seemed to be going back and forth between the two parties to relay what each other had said about the incident. When the bouncers would leave the lad that was hit, he'd try get back to have another crack at the Brazilian fella. In the end when they were turfed out the Brazilian chaps missus had to go on security's instruction too which was gas.

You might wonder why this is all worth mentioning but it went on for three full songs - it was mental. Everyone around us just said to security to just fuck them out so we could get on with the show.

I didn't see the punch, it did go on for a ridiculous amount of time though as you said. I was guessing the bouncers were trying to be non-confrontational but when he was taking up so much of their time I couldn't understand why they just didn't turf them out. The Brazilian guy's missus walked right past me and to say she looked pissed off is an understatement

I hope the guys involved are on here so they can tell us their side and we can get to the bottom of it all. And also if you're the Brazilian fella can you show us your hottie, cheers.

I was next to the sound desk and had no idea anything was going on.

I think there was a band playing in the background, could be mistaken though

Yeah they did a good job of providing a soundtrack to the drama
