Delighted for Italy, that's a great scalp to take. Granted, England are in poor form but even so, I didn't see that coming.

Having an Italian wife, that result was quite delicious. We're heading to Cardiff next week, the cunts will probably lose

I think form is out the window in this 6 Nations... After watching Scotland nearly shit the bed in Cardiff a fortnight ago, I didn't expect them to win today... Though cheering for England to beat France next Saturday if we beat Scotland might be a step too far!

Great day of rugby. As someone said, Scotland fucked us by letting it go for the last 15 minutes but great to see them make a show of France. Italy beating England was stressful but amazing as well. Fair fuckin play to them. As above, don't think I could convince myself to shout for England regardless next week.

Much as it pains anyone to root for the old enemy, we need England to get a result against France, even if we do beat Scotland. We gave England a good hammering anwyay, and I've no issue with them doing us a favour. Even in the unlikely event that they do beat the French, they still had a shocking tournament overall. Hopefully they'll be out to get some sort of redemption.

How can Ireland win the Six Nations? The permutations ahead of the final weekend

As the old saying goes, I'd rather guide my father into my mother than support England.

Think Scotland could do us next week but that loss to Italy will cost them the championship.

Scotland haven't beaten us in 11 games, Townsend hasn't coached a side to have beaten us... But we won't have Peter O'Mahony, he used to wind them up something fierce.

Furlong looked fairly capable of winding them up on Friday night, we'll see how it goes on Saturday.

Scotland winning it would be great for the tournament, been decades since they won it.

Indeed, they've never won the Six Nations though they won the last Five Nations in '99.

Scotland voted for France to get the last World Cup instead of Ireland, so they can go and fuck themselves (I'll never forgive the Welsh either for the same).

Scotland are also in the same World Cup Group as us, I'd love to see the win streak run until after then... We have to get to a semi final sometime!

I also might have an irrational hatred of some of the Scottish players, both present and past, I can't imagine the shit that will come out of the likes of Townsend and Ryan Wilson if they actually won something.   (This all comes from Finlay Calder taking Jim Staples head off in the 1991 World Cup and yes I hold a grudge).

Don't get me started on the Welsh though.

Great game and result. The eventual score doesn't capture how tight it was for the majority of the game. Hard to find fault with either side, Scotland just came apart towards the end.

Now just need the Brits to do us a favour later, which is highly unlikely on their current form.

Great to see Murray score on his debut too, hon Connacht! (Was also great to see them hammer Scarlets last night.)

Yup that was a really tight game and the quality of rugby on show was brilliant considering the pressure on both sides.  Doris looked back to his best and Beirne was godly again. Going to big up Tom O'Toole, he did amazingly well given how little he has played at loose head over the past two games.

Murray has now scored for Ireland, Ireland A but never for Connacht.  Actually thought he was really good off the bench, but always thought the brother was the better (though smaller) player.
