Yeah looks great! The result to go with it would be grand!

Aye, Connacht 'did a Connacht' as per usual and fucked it for the last 20 mins. A shame as the atmosphere seemed electric.

It was a bloody great match, really enjoyed it.

Was a tough watch last night. We really are a shadow of the team that stuffed France in Marseille 2 years ago.

I thought we looked stunned by the intensity of the French. Really poor performance. I thought the ref did a pretty poor job, no consistency to the length of time for advantages. Some poor line out throws from both sides that weren't called too.

There was hope in the first few minutes but that quickly fell apart. At least we got 2 tries. First 60 odd minutes were extra grim.

Worst performance for years, but France were on fire too. Ref had a poor game, totally played to the home crowd (France's first and third tries were preceded by forward passes, for instance).

Ireland are playing for third place at best at this stage.

Ref was poor but France were so good. That said, our tactics of kicking every fucking ball played right into their hands.

Prendergast, aside from that cross-field kick, had a shocker. He can't shoulder all the blame though. The scoreline flattered us as well. Ireland seem to have a recurring pattern of decline and recovery over the years, this is very much a team in decline atm and I'm optimistic enough that we'll find our way back again. But certainly not this tournament.

Another poor performance, it should never have been that tight against Italy. Surely this takes Prendergast off the starting line-up for the England game, he had another poor game whereas Crowley played well whem he came on. Great to see Baloucoune score on his debut as well.

Tight for the under 20s game last night too, though they played better than the seniors today IMO.

It was tough viewing. Good to see the Scots win though.

That Scotland game was a good watch. They tore them apart first half.

Italy deserved to win that game.
Certainly deserved a draw at the end, at least.

Prendergast is a year or two away from being international standard. He might be great in the future, sure, but he looks out of his depth at the moment. It's hard to see them beating England next week.

A few positives but plenty of problems as well after Italy.

In regards to Prendergast, I think he just needs time.  He has only played about 50 senior games of rugby in total and guess half of those are at International level or in big games for Leinster. Not an easy task to learn a complex position under that pressure or scrutiny. Farrell needs to decide whether to trust his instincts and just keep starting him for the next two years, believing he will come good for the world cup or play Crowley for the next two years, whose an excellent player but not maybe one who could drag Ireland into a World Cup semi or final.
