Had one of the those barrel aged O'Haras Leann Foillean stouts a few months back. Around 12 to 14 euro a bottle if I recall correctly. Fucking gorgeous.

18 x 500ml cans of Hop House 13 in Aldi for €20 atm.
Exceedingly good value for money that.... hic!
I'm sipping away at the Hop House 13 atm, very tasty. I bought 7 slabs that time in Aldi and still have 4 left. Can't bate a good bargain.

Hop house is delish but the hangover is horrible.

Thankfully I never get subjected to this pain...

Sipping the many colours of Brown Bear this weekend. Fully off the wagon now XD

Was in Lidl just now. The Dún Dealgan (West Cork Distillery) single malt whiskies are reduced to €20 from €26....
Exceedingly good value indeed, nabbed 3 myself (Stout, Sherry and IPA Editions)...

Same here, can't be doing with that fucking hangover.

In other news, if the govt get their way on the minimum pricing, I might have to finally move on from the Excelsior. I mean I love it and all but the 75c per can is the major selling point for me. Who knows, I might end up cleaning my act up altogether...

I know they've been humming and hawing about the minimum pricing for a while, but it is kind of gas that the week after nearly half the country was out buying offie drink for the good weather, it rears its head again.  Quickly, they're enjoying themselves!  Best tax them for it.

Yeah no bother if the drink is extortionate, sup away wherever. Grand. Keep it statesmanlike and get the tops off as well

I noticed that a 4 pack of Creamy Beams™ has gone from €7.90 to €8.50 in the space of a week.

Also - the place where I buy my beer is now selling Augustiner Helles and Edelstoff at €4.50 a bottle. Bargain... When I'm working in Munich I get a bottle of it with my lunch on a Friday for €0.95 from the kiosk outside the office...

Home brewing here we come!

Home brewing here we come!

Ive been threatening to do this for a long time but i lack the knowledge and confidence, i have a vision of drinking my own brew and ending up like henry sellers from father ted

I swear to god it's one of the easiest things you can do. All you have to be sure of is cleaning everything, and there's nothing difficult about that, just a case of being thorough. It's well worth it.

Got gifted a bottle of Glenfiddich which I look forward to supping this weekend.

Really nice Speyside whisky that. Is it aged 10 or 12 by any chance?
Enjoy....
